WHERE IS KANYE

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 12:48 PM

Any list without Kanye is a fucking joke.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 12:52 PM

Who the F*CK is Laura Marling?

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 12:52 PM

I wish people would let Robert Plant die in peace! No one wants to hear his Shˆt!

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 12:53 PM

Who cares about Kanye?

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 12:53 PM

Wow, Joanna Newsom ranked one spot ahead of Two Door Cinema Club. Must've been a tough call. I can see that one going either way.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 12:58 PM

Love to see the Laura Marling love. Great album.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:02 PM

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:10 PM

The list is perfect - every one is exactly right.

Posted by Andrew | November 30, 2010 1:14 PM

Laura Marling sounds like she need to hock a loogie. She sounds like a phlegmy Aimee Mann!

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:18 PM

Brandon Flowers?!?! No way should it be in any top 200 list

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:20 PM

No love for The Walkmen huh.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:26 PM

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:27 PM

Q MEHgazine

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:33 PM

Arcade Fire #1! I agree! Oh, wait.. you mean this isn't the list of most boring albums of the year? Nevermind then.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:34 PM

Take That?

Haha.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:40 PM

was the new interpol any good?

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:40 PM

Tom Jones!

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:41 PM

Kanye not on because list was finalized weeks ago.

Glad to see Gil Scott-Heron hasn't been forgotten by listmakers at Q.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:45 PM

I am so disappointed in you BV. No one screams 'Arcade Dire'?

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:52 PM

Any list of the top albums of 2010 that does not include the Walkmen's Lisbon doesn't count. While maybe not the top album of the year, Lisbon is certainly better than at least half of the albums on Q's list. Deerhunter is a bit low as well.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:52 PM

Titus?!?

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 1:58 PM

KANYE IS THE LIST

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 2:00 PM

Terrible. Terrible list.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 2:12 PM

Q Magazine?? Please, everyone who is anyone knows the Pitchfork list is all that matters.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 2:14 PM

Albums that make you say hummmmm? UUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by anonymous | November 30, 2010 2:30 PM

was the new interpol any good?

yes.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 2:32 PM

Kings of Leon, Brandon Flowers, MGMT, Hot Chip - on the list based on past success.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 2:59 PM

Great to see John Grant so high on this list too as well as MOJO's #1 album. Pitchfork doesnt even know who John Grant is, even though he's one of America's best songwriters right now. They only write about the same ten bands, wild nothing, washed out, beach house, wavves, etc etc...The Walkmen is a big miss though...probably cos it was released late in the UK. The mag did give it a great review i recall.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 3:01 PM

fuck kanye

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 3:50 PM

you're dissappointed in BV for posting the news of a magazines album ratings? complain about it to 'Q Magazine' since they created the list. People forget this blog is made to report news, that doesn't mean they are resposible for it.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 3:55 PM

How is Joanna Newsome above Two Door Cinema Club?!?!?!? Switch those two, and it seems about right.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 4:21 PM

And in come............. THE LISTS!

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 4:36 PM

no girls and arcade fires album is not overrated! i am not even a fan of their old shitt but the new album is great. Lcd should be higher on the list.

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 7:23 PM

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 10:27 PM

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 10:30 PM

I'm sure glad I'm not the type of person that likes Arcade Fire

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 11:21 PM

no mumford & sons? i'd put them on my top 10!

Posted by Anonymous | November 30, 2010 11:43 PM

OH NO, THE ARCADE FUCKING DIRE!!!!

OMG OMG OMG I LOATHE THESE IMBECILES.

Posted by ARCADE DIRE GUY | December 1, 2010 1:00 AM

KILL THE ARCADE DIRE AND SAVE ROCK MUSIC.

I BLAME BOWIE -- HE'D BETTER KEEP HIDING AFTER ENDORSING THESE CRETINS.

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 1:03 AM

Wow, someone chose Tricky -- sorry, but he's been awful for a long time now.

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 1:04 AM

3:01 -- why do you listen to what Pitchfork has to say? They are a joke.

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 1:05 AM

Gil Scott-Heron made just about every list, one of the only bright spots in a sucky year for music.

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 1:09 AM

Yes, I STILL LOATHE WINNIE THE POOP AND THE ARCADE DIRE!

Posted by ADG | December 1, 2010 1:22 AM

They say the Arcade Dire is #1 and they are

LIARS, THEY'RE ALL FUCKING LIAAAAARRRRS, THEY LIE, THEY LIE, THEY'RE LIAAAAARRRRRSS!

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 12:25 PM

I really want someone to give a cogent explanation of why they think Arcade Fire is so bad. With details. Longer than two sentences.

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 12:33 PM

That's a tall order, 12:33. Let's see what young Mr. Caulfield has to say to that.

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 12:43 PM

The Arcade Fire passes off lyrics that parade as profound when they are merely pretentious: for instance, the supposed epiphany that suburbia is a very weird place.

Wow, David Lynch never thought of that!

Musically they are a third-rate outfit recycling other bands' styles, ie. The Cure and many others, and they don't do any of them as well as the originals did.

The leader's desire to be another Bono and/or Springsteen also grates: we don't need another of either of them.

Their whole act is a merger of the gargantuan ego of an American twit from Texas with the sensiblities of a bunch of goofy French-Canadians, who even people in the rest of Canada don't take seriously.

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 12:51 PM

And one more thing re the Arcade Fire....

THEY'RE LIARS, ALL FUCKING LIARS, THEY LIE, THEY LIE, THEY'RE LIAAAAAARRRRRRSSSSS!

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 1:15 PM

A couple of bands being left off all top albums list: Tame Impala, Black Angels, Erykah Badu? This list and all I've seen so far are terrible. The Vampire Weekend, Band of Horses, Tricky, albums were beyond mediocre. Seriously is someone being paid off by the record companies?

Posted by Joel | December 1, 2010 5:41 PM

Peter Gabriel's cover album makes the top 50? Listen to it again: it's shit.

Posted by Kenton | December 1, 2010 6:41 PM

Tricky is so bad now it's just sad.

The Gabriel album was tragic: he's lost whatever he used to have.

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 6:54 PM

Every time Tricky puts out a new album he dimisses the last one as shit, and says the new one is his real comeback ... and round it goes ... he lost the plot years ago.

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 6:58 PM

Arcade Fire are one of those bands that people are going to feel embarrassed about having liked in a few years.

Posted by Anonymous | December 1, 2010 7:21 PM

kanye will top any list released in early 2011 unless Radiohead suddenly releases their outtake sessions

Posted by anon | December 2, 2010 7:43 AM

This just confirms a lot of the British media music taste is garbage. No Titus Andronicus?

Posted by Jessie | December 7, 2010 2:02 AM

Predictable list, but only because the winner was kind of clear this year. I think Q might be the last print magazine with the slightest bit of credibility left.

Glad to see Laura Marling getting some well deserved love, too. Incidentally, she doesn't sound remotely like Aimee Mann; whoever made that comparison should feel embarrassed for publically making it. Is Aimee Mann the only other female voice you've ever heard?
