Shout Out Out Out

Canadian dance band Shout Out Out Out Out spent their Halloween down in Asheville, North Carolina. The occasion was MoogFest where they played along with Jonsi, Hot Chip, and many others (but not Devo)...

"Moogfest promoter and creator Ashley Capps put paid attendance at between 7,000 and 8,000 people nightly, which was near capacity. "It's been a thrilling experience," said Capps, who also promotes the massive Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tenn. "With anything like this, you see things you want to improve and make changes on."

Friday's show cancellation by the legendary electropop band Devo "had an impact" at other Moogfest shows that night, Capps said. Fans instead poured into the Civic Center for a performance by rapper Big Boi, followed by the band MGMT. The arena was jammed for both shows." [Citizen Times]

Devo also cancelled their NYC show that was supposed to happen over the weekend at Hammerstein Ballroom, and their upcoming performance at Fun Fun Fun Fest (Devo are out out out of fun fun fun) (yeah yeah yeah) (sorry sorry sorry).

Shout Out Out Out are now on a tour back north and will stop in NYC for two shows starting with Tuesday, November 2nd, at Le Poisson Rouge with Free Blood, and then Wednesday at Glasslands with Jacques Renault (the show was moved from Coco66).

Uh, Devo did play.

And as good as SOOOO was, the highlight was Neon Indian. People were dancing so hard the floor in front of the stage FUCKING COLLAPSED.

Wonderful post and the location is beautiful and elegant in design and information and everything>>> to Favorites
Amazing is an enormous understatement. One of the best electronic shows I've ever been to and I've seen well over a thousand concerts. I had no idea Vladislav Delay was as good a drummer & percussionist as he is- fabulous and he kept everything swinging with a very unique style of playing. If you missed this you missed out big time...
