I was surprised to see him in full dance mode on network TV... almost feel he should have toned it down a bit for the bigger audience?

After being at his amazing show at the beacon theater, I'm going to pretend I didn't just see this faceplant on national TV. Kind of sad that this is how people will first see/hear him. Doesn't do him justice.

honestly, i felt embarrassed just watching that

I'm always disappointed when an important indie artist performs on national television and gives the mistaken impression that he's having fun. HE HAS NO RIGHT TO DO THAT, what an assy mcasshole

Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2010 8:23 AM

It's not that he's having fun, it's that it sounds terrible, and is too crowded.

Posted by Anonymous | November 21, 2010 11:19 AM

Hm. MIA looks different now.

This is what happens when you put Sly and The Family Stone through the soul evaporator, crank up the white n' neon dial.
Oh, and sprinkle liberally with Talking Heads wannabe powder.
