These shows are always really fun.

Saw the Pogues once back when because my now wife wanted to go and could not stand listening to Shane McGowan mumble lyrics for so long. It was brutal, which is a shame because behind him are some talented musicians (even though that music is not my cup of tea) but his horrible singing drowns them out.

@12:23 you do realize that he was talking shit to Texans right?

Posted by Anonymous | November 22, 2010 1:29 PM

$70! Bugger that.

Posted by Anonymous | November 22, 2010 3:06 PM

Want to experience these guys, but $70? I need something else to stop the ticket price from detering me from going.

Posted by Anonymous | November 22, 2010 4:18 PM

i don't get it.
play a bigger hall, charge less per ticket and make the same amount of money.

nobody has seventy bucks to spend for a club show. it's totally messed up.

shame on the smaller clubs for allowing this to happen. they are hurting their real fans.

i won't go see any band/show over 15-20 bucks.

buy the time you pay any service charges, transportation there is no money left to eat/drink the night of the show. heck i only drink coke. and i feel for my friends wanting something stronger.

Posted by don | November 22, 2010 10:07 PM

15-20 bucks? what bands can you see for that price?

Posted by Anonymous | November 22, 2010 11:04 PM

I hope will be a great tour. We wait him for a long time.

$70? Piss off, I'll go to Yonkers and see some other Irish drunks play the same damn music..

Outrageous.

Waah, waah, waah.

Poor babies can not afford $70.

When did they stop teaching the simple concept of supply and demand in this country?

If your broke loser ass can not afford the ticket someone else will gladly buy it.

Almost every single person in this world wants to maximize their earnings but when a band does it suddenly they are bad because you think they should be subsidizing your pleasure.

Its a concert, a luxury item, it is simple, if you can not afford the luxury item, do not buy it. But do not whine when you can not afford it like your lack of money is the bands fault. You are just embarrassing yourself.

$70 is steep but i didn't regret paying it last time. It kills that they play 3 nights though cos I can't go to all 3.
