Yikes, that Young impression is spot the fuck on.

I once had a imitation hummus made from pinto beans that was also spot on.

The Neil Young impression was funny the first time, now it's time to get a new joke Fallon

I hate these dumbass celebrity/musician impersonation schtick performances, along with that Conan/Colbert/Carell/Fallon/flavorofthemonthwhoeverthefuck is also doing them. They were always super-lame, and not funny the first 17 million times. We need to be subjected to more of these like the Earth needs another mass earthquake/wildfire/tsunami.

Sorry if that came off as angry (and for the 2x post). Even if that wasn't completely related to the article, I've just been sick and tired of all that. Can anyone else get behind this?
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2010 9:46 AM
It's a spot-on imitation. Some of you angry little fucks need to lighten up just a tad.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2010 9:48 AM
yeah that was a very entertaining video, you gotta give it to fallon
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2010 9:51 AM
It's a very well done imitation of Young, almost scary how close it is. In the great scheme of things, with so many shitty things going on in this world, getting angry about a Jimmy Fallon skit is just not on my to-do list.

Fallon's Neil Young is better than Bruce's Bruce.

Bruce Springsteen does a hilarious impression of Bruce Springsteen. I don't know. I really like this.

It's funny bit, but Fallon has done this a thousand times probably because its really the only thing he does well.
But I understand 9:40. Conan playing "The Weight" or some classic blues song with Jack White isn't really funny, just self-serving.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jimmy and Bruce - AWESOME to hear celebrities making fun of that Sh*t song by Wil Smith's youngest brat.

Never watch Fallon, cause he sucks, but love Bruce, so watched it. I was wonder what the hell that song was Fallon/Bruce did. Could of picked something better....
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2010 11:08 AM
Conan played the weight with jack because HE WANTED TO PLAY THE WEIGHT. come on, now...

Fallon does the most interesting show in late night. "Fallon Sucks" people just strike me as inattentive.

That gave me a emotional response. Death of American ideals, as a corporate shitfest of subliminals fill the heads of many. So easy to program us with culture, as what we felt was random and new, is systematic and with agenda.

jesus dude, go walk off that roid

the world is going to hell. war with china is no longer an 'if' but a 'when' and you're all riled up over an entertainer?
i wish i lived in your fucking bubble man.

It was funny. Seeing this skit as part of the corporate takeover of Western Civilization might be just a tiny overreach. Jesus H. Christ, some of you people must be a riot in 'real life.'

This would have been funny for about two seconds, but singing the song straight in Neil Young's style can't carry a bit of this length, and having Bruce come out is about as interesting as a recent Simpsons guest appearance, even if he is creepily dressed as the younger version of himself.
Dana Carvey did Neil Young much better in his two second parody in that HBO special that aired every five minutes in the 1990's. Not a boringly reverential piece of fluffy like Fallon's, but something funny, immediate and stupid. Where for art thou, Dana?!

you could have given this time and space to a new band doing something that might need promotion, not some fucking bullshit that's going to be on every stupid mainstream blog. i'm sure this is on the fuckin' yahoo homepage right now. motherfuck this.

I agree w/ 3:01. Dana Carvey's was actually amusing.
I think that post early on in this thread was just ranting frustration over what it was he described.
Surely you're not allowed to rant anymore these days, right?
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2010 3:44 PM
Some of you miserable little fucks need to end it all and spare the rest of us.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2010 3:45 PM
"you could have given this time and space to a new band doing something that might need promotion"
Oh, I see. You're only mad because YOU didn't get to sell out to The Man.
Nobody wants to hear your shitty band.
Now go choke on some hummus.

"Surely you're not allowed to rant anymore these days, right?"
Ranting about a late-night comedy sketch?
Wow, your priorities are really messed up.
You have the right to rant, and the rest of us have the right to tell you to shut the fuck up.
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2010 3:53 PM
"You have the right to rant, and the rest of us have the right to tell you to shut the fuck up."
Whatever makes you feel all high and mighty. Very easy to do around here obviously.

"Some of you miserable little fucks need to end it all and spare the rest of us."
Grrrrr... such anger around here. We'll obviously end it all because someone random said so. Haha!
And priorities? It's just a complaint. That probably didn't take any of these people much time at all. I'd say it's foolish to assume someone priorities are by a few comments, LOL!
Posted by Anonymous | November 17, 2010 4:48 PM
Whoa, some of the cock-fencing and the flames need to die down here. Some people here are having a bad day it seems like.
Is it just me or does Bruce look anorexic these days?

cool staff, why so much discussion?! people to see the thing on the other side! hugs!

ye, Bruce Springsteen does a hilarious impression of Bruce Springsteen. I don't know. I really like this

If you have ever watched the Jimmy Fallon show you'd know he's a great impressionist. His & Bruce's take off on Willow's song is great. I can't stand hers, but this Neil Young thing was music to my ears.
