GoF were one of the greats and Entertainment is a stone cold classic. They were tremendous live in the early 80's and again when they came through irving plaza a couple years ago. However, i'm very suspect about this new line up and wonder if they can deliver the same sparks the original group did.

Remember, without Dave or Hugo, Gang of Four released the albums "Hard" and "Mall", and those albums sucked.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice....

Shrinkwrapped, from 1995, wasn't too bad though and didn't have Dave or Hugo. That said, not expecting too much from the new one...

Glad I got to see the real GoF in Coney Island a few years ago! Because this seems really lame.

I saw them in June 1981 at The Left Bank in Mount Vernon, NY. The place was literally an old bank converted to a club. R.E.M opened for them. After GoF played they just hung out. Played pinball with Andy Gill. A cool evening. I will see them at Webster Hall just for kicks.

^What are you trying to say? That the band members are gay? That people who listen to them aren't real, hard Deicide listening street mofos like yourself?

The Gang of Four album Entertainment is, as stated above, a "stone cold classic." Well said. As for the "fags," comment, thing the world is not short of and that is stupidity.

November 11, 1980, Irving Plaza. Double bill. Mission Of Burma's classic Vs is still a year away. Gang of Four a few months ahead of their second very good album, Solid Gold. Sick! ...nuff said.
