Fun Fun Fun Fest has its first full, four stage festival day today in Austin (schedule here). Weird Al's two-hour Yoda-ending set was awesome last night on night one (which was basically a Weird Al concert with Todd Barry and Apples in Stereo opening). I wish I could say the same about the Antlers, but I missed their afterparty set due to me coming down with some nasty bug that has me hacking as I type this. Not only was I in bad shape by the end of Weird Al's outdoor set, it was cold out and The Antlers was an outside show too. Hoping to make it through this weekend alive.
I wish the Land of Talk, Suuns, Little Scream show wasn't happening while I'm out of town.
The Black Lips play a very late show in Brooklyn tonight.
What else?

I saw Weird Al over the summer in Asbury Park. It was insanely good. His band is AMAZING and his guitarist can play pretty much anything. I have always thought he was under-rated as a "novelty" guy. I'm glad he's getting some respect.
ATP people: now that he's doing the Godspeed ATP in England and he's in your system, give me Dare to be Stupid as a Don't Look Back ATPNY 2011!!!!!!

I truly don't understand where the hummus hatred emanates from... I mean, hummus is nothing but a delicious snck that you would probably enjoy if you simply gave it a chance.

UHHHHHHHGgg so pissed.
I bought pre-order tickets through pop-montreal. thought they were going to mail them and they never came. That'll teach me to rely on tickets in the mail as a reminder about a show I plan to go see. #needtouseacalendar
Did the show do well? Lots of folks there?
Posted by Anonymous | November 8, 2010 11:55 AM
looks like i didn't read all the print about tickets being at will call. oops!
