The Band - most underrated group...

The Band is underrated?

They seem fairly-rated to me. Levon Helm is always playing out and drawing a large crowd. Robertson is widely respected as a song-writer and guitarist. You've got the great rock-doc The Last Waltz and classic rock station love to overplay Cripple Creek.

Who?

Good thing he's celebrated by other artists, 'cause I saw him in concert and he's... NOT the same as he used to be.

Although Levon Helm certainly isn't a spring chicken either... and he manages to be AMAZING in concert. Some age gracefully, some don't, I guess...

@1:22 - Do me a favor. Develop throat cancer and tour. See how you would do...

Why so much love on Vegan for Nicole Average?

A great night...except for Jodie Holland. Like most people, she had a lyric crib sheet. Fine. Problem was, she couldn't follow it, always missing her cues. When she did come in, she did her best Liza Minnelli impression. On Ballad of a Thin Man...you can just imagine how that went. During the encore, she was supposed to do a verse of Mighty Quinn, but flubbed her entrance so badly JWH took over. Thank goodness.

Larry Campbell, as always, was amazing. Bob's band suffered a major loss when he left.

Laura Cantrell's looking kinda hot these days.

Nicole Atkins was a standout last night. I don't know anything about her as a songwriter, but her rendition of "Goin' To Alcapulco last night was absolutely spot-on. Her vocal harmonies with Larry Campbell on the chorus of this song were majestic and perfect rendered. It was arguably the apotheosis of the show.

>Larry Campbell, as always, was amazing. Bob's band suffered a major loss when he left.

Ain't that the truth.

A great show. I loved the Fiery Furnaces. A first for me. Sorry, I had never heard of them before. A beautiful Odds and Ends, and I'm Not There, Great group!

This show sucked worse than the Bob Dylan Terminal 5 shows.

and the winner of the most retarded comparison award goes to 6:12!

Great to see Nicole Atkins getting a shout out! Can't wait for her album "Mondo Amore" to come out in January!
