Citizens Arrest in Garden City (more at The Trashman's Reader)

Though Ted Leo is currently on the road with Ted Leo & The Pharmacists (they played The Champ in Leoyne, PA that night), the rest of Citizens Arrest (cXa) played their first reunion show on Saturday (12/4) as a special guest at Distort NY 2010 in Garden City, NY. cXa's appearance was unannounced at the Long Island show, which also featured performances from Capital, No Tolerance, The Men, Nomos, and Concrete Cross.
Ted Leo didn't play with Citizens Arrest Saturday, and he didn't play with Yo La Tengo this Hanukkah either. However, he will join his current project, Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, at Terminal 5 with The New Pornographers tonight (12/6). Tickets are still available.
Citizens Arrest (with Ted Leo) will play the sold-out Knitting Factory on 12/17 with Mind Eraser and Asshole Parade. cXa also play Kungfu Necktie in Philly one night later.
The Citizens Arrest setlist from the Long Island show is below, along with video of the band playing "Pressure's On".

Long Island has many of the best hardcore shows that happen in NY. It may as well be Brooklyn or the LES.

I think they used to cover Expectations back in the day.

this has got to be one of the saddest videos i've ever had to watch...
i guess hardcore is a bunch of "angry" white boys. not to mention this band plays with a limpness that would make ted leo cry (who is reading this comment section right now)

haha! @ 3:50. have you ever even listened to citizen's arrest? i have not yet seen the the video as i am at work and i am sure it may be/come off a bit stiff or seem uninspired but come on. its a warm up to their upcoming reunion shows. its citizen's fucking arrest. give em a break and blow the wax out of yr earholes dude.

@3:50 if you are questioning why its angry white kids then my guess is that you have no business even commenting here since youre clueless about what went on in america 20 years ago. if you want to ask serious questions regarding race and culture there are also probably better places for them.

if you replace Ted Leo with Janis Chakras(or however you spell it) then the article becomes readable.

Actually they are a bunch of white guys. Born that way I guess.
He may have many Chakras but he is Chakars. Born a Latvian which the other poster may not like either. They are white people too. Just a bunch of them. Some pretty angry too.
