"Non-classic?"
Why you gotta be like that BV?
You now better.
True, Douglas is not "so-called classic" GBV, but the man's work stands up against those years!

Is it a full band? When I saw him at South Paw he was backed by Cobra Verde and former GBV drummer Kevin March. It fucking ROCKED

Show is sold out? Yesterday, I could still purchase as I was checking for a friend.
But this is damn awesome. Doug Gillard PWNs. Go see him with Nada Surf and Bambi Kino at Mercury Lounge earlier in December. ^_^

I know better that BV does indeed know better. (?)
Saw Douglas at Pete's Candy Store. When they passed the cash bucket, Doug said, "I thought that was to piss in."

From Twitter: @douggillard: My newer band and I are the openers for my old band on New Year's Eve! GBV & DGE at Irving Plaza.

This opening gig will solidify for all in attendance exactly why post-classic GbV SUCKED.

7:27pm is out of his fucking mind. The records are way too clean sounding, yes, but their live shows were still sick as fuck.

I lived in Cleveland, 80s-90s.
You're picking apart people (bands) that are inseparably linked, GBV, Gem, Cobra Verde, My Dad is Dead, Prisonshake, etc etc
There's really no sense to it.
