Freelance Whales @ Webster Hall - 12/15/10 (photo by Emily O'Brien)
Freelance Whales

Freelance Whales headlined a tour-ending show at the rather large Webster Hall in NYC on Wednesday night, 12/15. Freelance Whales will play the rather small In Vino Wine Bar on January 9th. Tickets go on sale at 10am today (12/17).

Miniature Tigers opened the Webster Hall show and will play Webster Hall again, and Music Hall of Williamsburg, when they open for the Get Up Kids in March. Tickets for both shows are on sale now.

I couldn't see Miniature Tigers. What's their stage presence like?

Freelance Whales is the worst band I've ever heard.

As the walls of reality grow tighter and tighter together, the ping pong ball of eventuality will misfire more often and give you bands like Freelance Whales.

I was there and loved this band. Alex and her Sister Wives were pretty cool for an opener. I didn't like Miniature Tigers that much. Their stage presence wasn't any better, minimalistic fronting of the band. Charlie did have on a cool red poncho though.
