I mean if Neil was ever going to make a guest appearance at a show, it definitely makes sense it would be this one at the Bell House in Brooklyn tonight. Tickets are still on sale.

10PM UPDATE: Neil played a set with Pegi. Will he also play with Bert?

NEXT DAY UPDATE: No he didn't play with Bert, and now we have pictures.

Where did you hear the rumor?

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 5:34 PM

Rumors sell tickets...

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 5:34 PM

It's not a rumor

Posted by Kindergarten Cop | December 15, 2010 5:35 PM

Mama always told me to never trust a Kindergarten Cop

Posted by Venkman | December 15, 2010 5:36 PM

He's playing on stage with both Bert and Pegi tonight.

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 5:38 PM

I can confirm that I will be playing in my wife's band tonight at the Bell House.

Posted by Neil Young | December 15, 2010 5:41 PM

I love you dear.

Posted by Pegi Young | December 15, 2010 5:42 PM

I heard there will be a secret guest at the Bowery Electric tonight. I don't want to fuel the fire but this seems more plausible considering the past secret acts

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 5:42 PM

Asshole, stealing my thunder again.

Posted by Bert Jansch | December 15, 2010 5:43 PM

I'm tempted to get a ticket.... but if Neil doesn't show up I would be pissed.

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 5:46 PM

What time does Daft Punk go on?

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 5:55 PM

Bowery Electric? Hell No!
The Mom From Hell works there!

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 6:17 PM

I just saw Bert, Pegi and Neil eating Hummus at Brooklyn Pita.

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 6:19 PM

The Bowery Electric is a decent venue until THE MOM FROM HELL comes out of her office and starts yelling at everyone there.

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 6:28 PM

Pegi Young was terrible when she opened up for Neil at the United Palace shows. TERRIBLE. Nepotism at its worse.

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 7:03 PM

Bowery Electric secret guest = Fran Healy

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 7:56 PM

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 8:05 PM

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 9:05 PM

F that! Can anyone confirm 9:05's rumor!?

Posted by Freepster | December 15, 2010 9:18 PM

He's here. Everyone's freaking out.

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 9:56 PM

i saw neil accompany peggy at the cutting room in '07. that was secret. all he did was sit in the background and play acoustic guitar. you could barely see him because it was so crowded.

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 9:58 PM

He's playing After the Gold Rush and Harvest in their entirety back to back. Well worth $30.

Just a heads up. In case you haven't noticed, BV doesn't post rumors. Whenever he/she says that there's a rumor, you can count on it happening. He/She wouldn't post something with 0% credence. This site gets thousands of hits a day and is at this a resource for every music magazine and blog out there. He/she does not post rumors. Get it?

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 10:29 PM

Wait BV is a he/she?

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 10:45 PM

What did Neil play?

Posted by Anonymous | December 15, 2010 11:38 PM

He didn't play anything of his, nor did he join Bert. Sadly. Could've at least done a rendition of Ambulance Blues or something

Posted by Anonymous | December 16, 2010 12:02 AM

Just came back from the Bell House. I found it amazing to see Neil on such a small stage, even it was in a backup role. He took a couple great guitar solos and played harmonica on one tune. The set ended with an old unreleased Neil song called "Doghouse." Pegi sang lead vocals and Neil sang a bit.

I went... it was pretty cool, not too packed. He came out and played guitar and harmonica for Pegi's band. I think a lot of people hung around just to see if Neil would come out and play with Bert, but he didn't.

Posted by Anonymous | December 16, 2010 8:13 AM

you wanna know how i got these scars?

Posted by joker | December 16, 2010 8:13 AM

I would hope a lot of people hung around to see Bert play.

I'm kind of interested to know how many Brooklyn Vegan'ers smoke marijuana? Be it whether on a regular or intermittent basis. Thanks for you answer

Posted by Anonymous | December 16, 2010 9:07 AM

^^^ most, I would think.

Posted by Anonymous | December 16, 2010 9:26 AM

3,000 readers a day on average... i'd say about 60% do on a regular basis. i am not one of them though

Posted by Anonymous | December 16, 2010 9:34 AM

I think its more than that. Not to cast any dispersion, but these kids on BV love their Rock and Roll Music, it just comes with the territory!
