Phosphorescent played Letterman (plays Bowery tonight!) ++ Akron/Family tickets on sale

Tickets are now on sale for two NYC shows that Akron/Famiily will be playing in 2011, one at Knitting Factory ane at Bowery Ballroom in support of their new album coming soon on Dead Oceans.

Their Dead Oceans label-mate Phosphorescent headlines Bowery Ballroom in NYC tonight (12/10). Man Forever (members of Oneida) and Alex Winston are both opening the show and tickets are still on sale. Phosphorescent brought the full band and then some to David Letterman last night. Video of that horn-filled performance below…
