Bad Plus

"NEVER STOP is the first album by The Bad Plus to consist entirely of originals. Recorded in Minnesota with a live, stripped-down sound, NEVER STOP showcases the band's range as well as its three distinct personalities. From gentle and melodic to fierce and abstract, from swing to 80's techno, NEVER STOP is tied together by a group sound that embraces diversity as strength. Ten years in, The Bad Plus is here to stay."- The Bad Plus

"Live, stripped-down sound."

I.E. low-fi indie crap that isn't nearly as good as top producers are making these days, but is more popular due to residents of Williamsburg who know nothing about good music but like to think they have street cred so they follow crappy indie bands anyway.

Yeah, pretty much.

Jimmy @ 2:22pm, you have successfully established yourself as the most uninformed human being I've witnessed in a while.

These guys are making some of the best original jazz ever, see them at the vanguard in case they one day decide to make the switch, and suddenly play T5 or something terrible like that.

LOLOLOL @ Jimmy.

Jimmy-- thanks for making that comment, all of the nonsense that I read on this blog makes sense to me now. People come on here and post about music they haven't even heard. This comes as a revelation to me right before the new years... thanks Jim, it took your completely irrelevant and retarded comment about a JAZZ band to clear this up.

Jimmy, you just established yourself as one of the biggest idiots on this site. I bet you make hummus comments too, moron.

Bad Plus are better than most bands posted on this blog. When I say better I mean more talented, passionate, genuine, unfashionable etc etc...

Bad Plus. Just bad play by numbers jazz ripping off Vandermark Five or playing alterna covers of the Pixies. Unoriginal Jazz that plays here all the time.

Weasel Walter plays with some of the guys who played originally on 50's and 60's Jazz albums.

Dave King is known for being stuck on himself from people he played with in Wisconsin and elsewhere.
It's no secret.
