"already Terminal 5. groan."

It's with the Pogues, duh

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 1:27 PM

Well... something to do on new years if the parties suck.

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 1:38 PM

Titus opening for the Pogues is a match made in heaven.

Shane McGowan is the modern day version of Weekend at Bernie's

As once said before, Titus Adronicus = Hummus fest.
Enough said.

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 2:18 PM

1:38: True.

But the pessimist (sp?) in me says that if I go, and then it sucks, I'll be hearing from everyone how their NYE parties were the best ever.

2:02: Haha!

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 2:23 PM

Should be a pretty great NYE option. At least there will be solid music and cheap beer. Also wondering about advanced tickets as well.

ridgewood masonic temple capacity?

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 2:27 PM

2:24: Perhaps. BH Surfers are also a good option too (if you're into that sorta thing).

2:27: Dunno for sure, maybe somewhat smaller than Brooklyn Masonic.

strange how BV and the TA site list them playing with the Pogues on 3/15 & 3/17... but the T5 lists them playing on 3/16 & 3/17. Can we get confirmation? I didn't really want to go to the St. James Cagney Day show... but I want to see the Pogues w/ TA.

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 2:37 PM

is ridgewood a good space? I really hate ToddP shows that are in hot deathtraps... but I'm guessing this is a little nicer.

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 2:38 PM

Maybe? Think of it this way:

Brooklyn Masonic looks like an old high school hall/auditorium.

Ridgewood Masonic looks like an old middle school hall/auditorium.

Or maybe it seemed that way because I was drunk.

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 2:42 PM

what'd the deal with tickets for the NYE show, any presale? Or is it at the door only?

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 2:44 PM

snore

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 2:51 PM

Yeah Ridgewood Masonic decent space. Definitely a middle school auditorium vibe, with a smallish stage. Capacity 500 maybe? That is just a complete estimated guess. The worst part about it, is that it is way far out in Bushwick so a pain in the ass to get to, if you don't live in Bushwick or off the J.

^ Yeah, no shit lol!

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 2:58 PM

Titus and the Pogues on st patricks day in NYC. That must be in the running for one of the best nights of 2011 already. wow

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 4:06 PM

They got bottle service there?

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 5:40 PM

^Just kidding. A reasonably priced show is a good option. So much overpriced NYE crap every year.

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 5:41 PM

If all the hipsters and fauxhemians go to the Masonic Temple, that means the parties will be great. No poseurs at the parties ! Yes !

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 5:45 PM

What's up with the $65 tickets for these Pogues shows?

Posted by Anonymous | December 7, 2010 9:10 PM

Bummer - I'd like to see Titus Andronicus, but not at Pogues prices.

I got into my time MEHchine and went to the St. Patrick's Day show and I've traveled back to tell you it is the SHOW OF THE YEAR.

Posted by Anonymous | December 8, 2010 1:42 PM

NYE show venue changed from Rwood Masonic Temple to 285 Kent Ave, Williamsburg

Wonderful post and the location is beautiful and elegant in design and information and everything>>> to Favorites
Amazing is an enormous understatement. One of the best electronic shows I've ever been to and I've seen well over a thousand concerts. I had no idea Vladislav Delay was as good a drummer & percussionist as he is- fabulous and he kept everything swinging with a very unique style of playing. If you missed this you missed out big time...
