Dylan LeBlanc
Dylan Leblanc

The Guardian recently listed "Hidden gems of 2010: the pop, world and jazz CDs you may have missed", one of those is :

Dylan LeBlanc - Pauper's Field (Rough Trade)

Mopey country troubadours are 10-a-penny, but few nail Stetson anomie as gracefully as Dylan LeBlanc. His father was a Muscle Shoals sessioneer, and LeBlanc retains a sepia-tinted way with instrumentation and classic tropes like lost love. But there are darker themes here (addiction, murder) supplementing LeBlanc's nicely judged bleakness.

If you missed him in July, 20-year-old Dylan LeBlanc returns to the road this month, playing select dates across the East Coast and Midwest with Lissie... except in NYC where the two artists play separate shows. Lissie headlines Webster Hall on January 28th (tickets) while Dylan plays Mercury Lounge that same night with Arthur & The Geniuses (tickets). You can also catch Dylan at Rock Shop on 1/27 (tickets) - Lissie has that night off.

I gotta admit, I have been digging Lissie for some time now and want to see her play but I think Webster Hall is a bit too big.
