7:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Live from SoHo: Iron and Wine

Iron and Wine's Sam Beam has become one of today's greatest musical storytellers, crafting meticulous tales full of forlorn love, religious imagery, and wistful dreams. Join us at the Apple Store for this very special live show by Iron&Wine as they perform tracks from the newly released album, "Kiss Each Other Clean." For guaranteed admission, stop by to pick up a wristband starting Thursday, January 27, at 9:00 a.m.
[Apple Store SoHo]
The free NYC Apple Store show is happening one day before Iron & Wine play their headlining show at Radio City Music Hall with Edie Brikell. Tickets are still on sale for that.

Meanwhile, those with a TV can check out Iron & Wine on Conan tonight (1/24), and those who either live in California or have an internet connection, can partake in a free show at Amoeba Records in Hollywood.

Iron & Wine (AKA Sam Beam and band) perform live at Amoeba Music Hollywood in celebration of the new album, Kiss Each Other Clean, out 1/25 on Warner Bros. This very special show will also be streamed live on for those who can't be there!

Fans can pre-purchase the new album starting at 5pm on 1/24 and receive a limited-edition Iron & Wine "Live at Amoeba" poster (while they last). Signing after the performance is limited to the first 100 purchasers.

Iron & Wine play live at The Wiltern January 25 & 26.
Cold War Kids play live in Amoeba on Tuesday (though it won't be streamed), and they have a Radio City show coming up too. Their new album, Mine is Yours - out that same day, is streaming at MySpace. Iron & Wine's new album is streaming at Team Coco.

Iron & Wine's 1/25 Wiltern show is with Laura Marling whose only other upcoming show is in NYC on 1/30. Iron & Wine's 1/26 Wiltern show is with The Low Anthem who also head out on the road with Iron & Wine in April, but not before playing Bowery Ballroom in March. Any chance he'll play in NYC again on 4/20 or 4/22???

I feel like Radio City is too big of venue for him.....

maybe at Webster Hall?

Posted by Hello Brooklynvegan....... | January 24, 2011 1:47 PM

good call, they prob won't announce it until AFTER he plays Radio City in order to boost ticket sales, grrr

Holding out for a solo appearance...may or may not ever come...But Webster Hall would be better than Radio City

Radio City is a stupid booking, but I wouldn't expect another date.

what is up with all these indie bands playing such massive venues like radio city? all they end up doing is gouging the fans and (40 bucks for explosions in the sky etc). wouldnt it be a smarter business move to do like 3 nights at webster or something? super fans would go multiple nights and casual fans would attend b/c it's a smaller venue/lower ticket price . would adding a couple more days to a tour really matter that much?

The Radio City show is apparently sold out. Which makes no sense to me, 'cause I've been checking all the time (for something very close to the stage) and don't remember tickets ever going into the 3rd mezz. Could they just not be selling certain sections? Or is it some gay ticketmaster scheme to drum up interest.

Not this show specifically, but I hear people say that a show will change venues when it's not selling. Does that ever even happen? Seems like it'd be a nightmare to pull off.

I was at the greenspace show and the abrons arts show, and I think I prefer him without the backing band.

Sam played two solo nights just a year or two ago at the Abrons Arts Center. Rather amazing shows . . .
