Low

Slowcore giants Low will support Explosions In The Sky when the band plays their largest headlining show ever, Radio City Music Hall on April 6th. Tickets go on sale at 11AM.

Low have completed their follow-up to Drums & Guns. Entitled C'mon, the new album's mastering was completed in November and will be released via Sub Pop. Low's Alan Sparhawk recently offered some details on the LP. It was recorded at Sacred Heart Studios (where the band recorded Trust) and Nels Cline makes an appearance on the record. Song titles include "Especially Me", "You See Everything", "$20", "Al Green", and "Try to Sleep". No word on a release date yet, but to sate your appetite until that effort surfaces, the band has offered the Live at Eindhoven EP for download for the price of your email address.

$60 per seat? whaaa?

congrats to Explosions. Love your stuff and your live shows are amazing. Sadly can't justify the cost on this one. Could buy your (and Low's) entire discography for less.

$60 for Explosions, Low, and the pristine environment of RCMH is a steal.

EITS are total wankers compared to Mogwai. Not sure why anyone likes these guys. Nothing original in their sound.
Bummer to have to miss Low this time around. Wonder if we'll get lucky with a side show.

US $52.90 (US $39.50 Ticket + US $13.40 Fees)

34% of the ticket price is fees. What a total scam pulled over on the public. Seriously. What does ticketmaster do? They feed their template for venues into a database and supply backend servers. Surely this doesn't cost $13.40 per click and when you order 2,3,4,5 tickets the economies of scale are out of control. Imagine if you buy 4 tickets. $53 just for their database to track one transaction. Robbery.

If you pick up your tickets at RCMH's box office, there is no $13.40 fee.

Low's Facebook page says they're coming back a few weeks later for headline show after the EITS show.
