UOoA

Though Orphan unfortunately didn't play Death By Audio on 1/22 (Brendan Majewski, RIP), people were thinking of them as they watched performances from reformed hardcore greats Universal Order of Armageddon, the roaring doom oddballs in The Body, and Philadelphia sludge duo Trophy Wife. Samantha Marble reports:
The show was packed, and all of the bands dedicated the night to Brandon and Orphan. Trophy Wife, The Body and UOA all seemed to play at their best, including UOA's vocalist who mentioned to the crowd that he had been throwing up all day and had a fever. Though there was an underlying sadness, overall it was a celebration.Presumably a celebration of both the riff and the Orphan riff-er.
UOoA also played Cake Shop one night earlier as part of a short tour. More pictures from Death By Audio are below.

The Body are scheduled to play Scion Rock Fest along with a slew of other incredible bands. RSVP is now closed, but there is a waiting list. Universal Order of Armageddon are on the bill of this year's Chaos in Tejas.

Bummed I missed this. Trophy Wife rule and always wanted to check out UOOA! Intense photos.
Also, very sad about Brendan! I was just rockin' Orphan's LP the other day.

I was kinda disappointed by the show. Trophy Wife can shred and The Body were fuckin' heavy and weird as shit, but Universal Order of the Armageddon were just ok. Took a while to get on stage, not a whole lot of energy. Expected more to be honest

when uoa played dba back in november or something of last year, they drew a really humble, well-spoken crowd. it was a treat--very solid people & they sounded great. missed this show, but maybe an off night for them. it happens.

Lead singer of UOA had a heavy ass fever and looked like he was ready to keel over, the band played a spirited set despite this. The lady selling merch for UOA was a total sweetheart punk mom
