The Decemberists are gearing up for a busy few months that include three January shows at Beacon Theater with Wye Oak, a big tour, and the release of their new album The King Is Dead (out 1/18 via Capitol Records, deluxe box edition included). To get us excited, the band have started releasing a series of album trailers. Today we are premiering the third trailer which you can watch with the first and second one too, below...

My guess is that most people who click on a link for the Decemberists aren't trolls who just comment "crap." ...but, by all means, knock yourselves out.

When there's such a conscious shift in view and goal (like to a half-assed attempt at Americana) it just feels phony.
