This dessert has really gone silly, Don Hill's.

When hummus is served as a dessert, I always ask for seconds.

gogol played really well last night but T5 was an epic fail. when everyone in the venue tries to squish onto the floor it gets unbelievably tight in there. no one could move and i was at the very back of the floor, it was miserable. I've seen a lot of shows there but tonight put me at the end of my line.

walked out 8 songs in, and for the money i wish i had sat on my couch and watched the rollingstone.com webcast.

and i dunno why it wasn't mentioned on bv but the flaming lips nye set from chicago will be rebroadcast @ 9PM here:

That's the beauty about hummus... It has multiple uses.

I recall one time I was making a colage and my glue stick ran out, so I opened up the fridge and low-and-behold I saw a small container of the sabras... It really saved the day!

Posted by Anonymous | January 2, 2011 3:37 PM

Why did the hummus cross the road? To hummus hummus meh tba hummus.

Posted by go die | January 2, 2011 4:54 PM

3:37 - you are such a hummus poser...

first of all, it is sabra, not sabras.

second, if you knew anything about good hummus, you would know that sabra is mass produced, low grade product... the mcdonalds of hummus

Enough talk about food. It's the New Year so lets not let the comments devolve like a broken record.

Fortune Bright and friedship true,
Bless the coming year for you,
as said above,

Unless you talk about food instead of music.

no lauryn hill comments from new year's day show at bowery? she was SO good. i don't get why everyone is hating on her. she sounded amazing, had great energy, she did every hit you'd ever want to hear. and of course, she's going to remix her hits- if she kept them the same, why would you pay money to see her?? you could just listen to her CD. that's the whole point of live shows, to see something NEW. great show lauryn!!!

The show at the Bowery Ballroom wasn't "great", it wasn't even good... worst sound I've heard at the Bowery Ballroom in a very long time, almost painful at times.

Lauryn please:
- respect the fans, stop being late (not really a surprise here though)
- stop doing the soundcheck during the show, it's annoying. And let the engineers taking care of the sound. (On the same note, change your engineers!!)
- don't rework songs that were previously working
- reduce your band by 3/4 (seriously it's ridiculous)
- don't bring your 3 years old to a concert that end at 2:30AM (she's probably deaf by now)

That being said she still has a great voice, too bad it was covered most of the times by the "noise" of her band. Great bass player too.
