This website and it's quality continues to go downhill. Any other websites out there that are any good regarding the NYC concert scene?

Just got word that Ariel Pink show is CANCELLED though I didn't get any info on refunds! Lincoln Center wisely pulled the plug after last night's disaster.

It is not cancelled

Well I just got off the phone w a friend who works for Big Apple Circus and she told me they have cancelled the show. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Personally I hope it takes place but feel bad for folks who shelled out $25 bucks for yet another shitty lineup that will surely lead to more disappointment and entertaining photos like the 2 other posts.

Your all douchebags
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2011 4:13 PM
ariel pink is not worth the $30 pricetag. if their sponsors had real money it'd be no more than $10. surprised they have sponsors at all at this point. sure hope the circus gets paid what they're owed from these losers. and that they have a security deposit for damages.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2011 4:19 PM
Bet the sound sucks if the show still happens. The promoters obviously have no idea what they're doing.
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2011 4:32 PM
Is this a Jelly event?
Posted by Anonymous | January 4, 2011 5:03 PM
Ariel Pink has been replaced by Lauren Hill. The show is still on, but the set time has been moved from 9 pm to 3:30am.

I hope the circus sues the promoters for all of the bad press they've caused and for refusing to accept blame. They even admit on Gothamist "Japanther shows are notoriously raucous". Oh yeah? So why did you book them, you morons.

Nardwuar is a douche!
