The Wombats are not playing Mercury Lounge tonight.
Deer Tick have a night off on their solo tour (they play City Winery tomorrow), so I wouldn't be surprised if some special guests were in the house to play with Jonny Corndawg at Union Pool tonight.
If you want to stay out of the wintery mix, watch Broken Social Scene from the comfort of your own home.
What else?

I'm looking forward to streaming the BSS show. Am I finally in-store for a decent T5 experience?
Any idea who is handling the female vocals tonight? Is Emily in town? Amy? Feist?

Seems like they're having trouble selling out T5 for tonight!

Hunters is not playing that Bruar Falls show.

FYI, Prince is actually going on at 8:15 tonight. This is the truth, he moved it to an earlier time. Sharon Jones at 7:30.

Haiti benefit tonight at Brooklyn Bowl from 9pm-2am
Featuring "very special guests"
Top ticket price of $1,000
Put together by ?Uestlove, who has been playing with Prince at these recent shows
So yes, I'd say there's an extremely good chance Prince will be playing Brooklyn Bowl around midnight tonight. He has a knack for these late night club shows too, right?

Lettuce with Maceo is going to be amazing!! Oh, and then Prince might stop by. no big deal
Posted by Anonymous | January 18, 2011 2:49 PM
Lettuce will "shread". This show will be the top "Tomato"! Maybe Prince will "Pepper" in some extra funk. I don't think "olive" if I don't catch this show! Hopefully though it is not to crowded because the bathroom line will be to long when I take a "leek". But if it is I guess I will "veg" by the bar!

Shakespear's got nothing on 2:54 PM

The Haiti Benefit is sold out (unless you wanna buy the $1,000 tickets). Prince in a bowling alley should be interesting.

really though BV, how have you not picked up on this prince/brooklyn bowl thing yet? you gotta start picking up on things before all the tickets sell out, that's just music-blogger basics

Prince may also be doing a surprise guest appearance at mamouns...
As you are aware, he is a major advocate of the hummus... In fact, the reason why he has so much energy on stage is due to the phyto-nutrients locked within the chickpea.

Mavis Staples was fantastic! great energy, she sounded great - good time!

10:39 obviously not one of your favorites if you are sitting on the sidelines and not going...oh well your loss.
