Damn, I had forgotten that Dismemberment Plan kind of sucked the first time around. Frat boy central at Webster Hall.

Posted by Anonymous | January 29, 2011 11:48 PM

Iron & Wine at Radio City Music Hall... you are amazing, minus everything you did at Radio City. It was awful. Keep doing what what you did and not what you are doing because it was really disappointing until the encore. That rocked.

1) What time did Dismemberment Plan go on tonight?
2) Any good merch for them?
3) Don't tell me the setlist!

Thanks:)

Mission of Burma was ridiculous tonight.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2011 2:18 AM

I don't recall Dismemberment Plan shows being frat boy central in the past. Usually just a very young crowd.... but not frat boys. Weird.

Glad I skipped it though. For some reason I was thinking it might be a shit show... Webster Hall on a Sat night and all. Eh... I've seen DP enough times in much smaller venues.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2011 8:03 AM

mission of burma's maxwell's and bell house shows were among the best i've seen by them... and i've seen them like 20 times at this point.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2011 8:46 AM

MIssion of Burmeh.

If you weren't at the Muffs show last night, you were at the wrong show....show of the year and it's only January!

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2011 10:17 AM

Muffs were great at Bell House too.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2011 11:41 AM

Good god, can't you put SOME effort into your appearance? You don't have to be marky mark but Jesus, shave. Take a fucking bath. You're a fairly successful, reknown musician. You can afford a haircut.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2011 11:46 AM

"If you weren't at the Muffs show last night, you were at the wrong show....show of the year and it's only January!"

Most idiotic, dumb, silly and over exaggerated comment of the year so far and it's only January.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2011 12:21 PM

Iron and Wine kind of blew it last night. When an artist goes for a sound more or less the polar opposite of the one that made them famous, they better bring their A game. Sufjan did it last year, sadly Iron and Wine did not. Bloozy sax rock is not where its at man. 75 minute sets at a sold out Radio City at 50 a ticket aint too great either. That said, some of the new stuff was great, and the Trapeze encore was wonderful.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2011 1:25 PM

I got free tickets to Iron and Wine. Orchestra, sec 3 about 20 rows back. I left after a half hour because it was so shitty and lame. It was like being at a Michael Bolton concert.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2011 2:32 PM

@11:46-how do you know he doesn't bathe? why should he cut his hair and beard? what do you want another frat boy looking band like the fucking Hold Steady. while I'm not a big fan of Iron & Wine or big beards, i do like bands to at least look like they have some hint of rock/street cred.

Posted by Anonymous | January 30, 2011 2:34 PM

Dude, have you SEEN the hold steady? And theres a fine line between having street cred and looking like a hobo sleeping in his shopping cart beneath an overpass.
