The other day my can opener broke, and i had a serious craving for hummus, so I took a hammer to that chickpea can and banged the crap out it.

Karsh Kale piece was a nice melodic, if busy, piece with cinematic overtones. Made me want to check out his other music.
Bryce Dessner piece was a bit more dissonent. Parts of it reminded me a bit of Sufjan's more orchestrated pieces, and Steve Reich as well.
Merkin is a great space to hear and see music.
