I think it kinda sucks that E6 is doing FOUR shows in NY, while only doing one LA show that is sold out.

"I think it kinda sucks that E6 is doing FOUR shows in NY, while only doing one LA show that is sold out."
Buffalo is far, so that doesn't count. If I were from Buffalo, I might say, "I think it sucks that they are doing three shows in NYC and only one in Buffalo, but at least LA only has one too!"

ticketmaster says there's a presale for the town hall show?
Posted by Anonymous | February 23, 2011 12:30 AM
Thanks for the heads up, just grabbed the added show.
Rumor was Mangum showing up to Knitting Factory, but that was before he added all of his own shows. Less likely now.
Posted by Anonymous | February 23, 2011 1:27 AM
of course it's going to happen now. seems much more likely that he'd want to get a little more "stage time" before making his "comeback". I'd bet he's at at least two of the NYC shows, if not at a few others. fingers crossed for toronto.
also, at this point i'm probably more excited about seeing almost all of the olivia tremor control. everyone else should be too and not just cry into their hummus if mangum doesn't show.
Posted by Anonymous | February 23, 2011 1:52 AM
Sorry fanboys, Mangum already said on the message board that he will not be playing at any of the E6 shows.
Posted by Anonymous | February 23, 2011 1:54 AM
E6 sucks. Flat out, balls deep, shit music.
Yet, there's a Mangum connection. So it ends up on this site.
Why?
Mangum is just a silk hat on the pig that is E6.
If he ain't playing the E6 shows, it ain't news.
Nothing like some BV blue balls to get ones expectations a little higher thatn normal.
Hummus. Meh. Whataver meme you've got happening in the comments...............
Posted by Anonymous | February 23, 2011 1:55 AM
I wouldn't mind being a meme bros.

I agree with everyone here... Everytime you move FRASIER from the midnight spot, you catch hell from us. Why do you even bother to move it? http://www.soldeschaussuresconverse.com/marque-chaussures-converse-chaussures-homme-c-23_32.html
I saw it last night and was soooo disappointed. So please put Frasier back and stop screwing around. Frasier is perfect bedtime entertainment, why don't you understand that??? On a positive note, I love the nights when you play three in a row, but will settle for two episodes as before. Thank you!!

Sometimes its good to mix it up a little bit
1 can of chickpeas/garbanzo beans (15 oz)
1/3 cup tahini
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 cup -3/4 cup roasted red peppers (depending on taste)
Preparation:
In a food processor, combine beans, tahini, lemon juice and olive. Process until smooth. Add red peppers and garlic until desired consistency.
Garnish with parsley. Serve warm with hot pita bread or toasted pita chips.
Roasted red pepper hummus can be made up to two days in advance and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Heat up in microwave or on stovetop to serve.

"Rumor was Mangum showing up to Knitting Factory, but that was before he added all of his own shows."
There was no basis to the rumor, just a bunch of over-excited fanboys.

What are you talking about, 1:55? Neutral milk hotel IS an elephant 6 band, they're all the same collective. Olivia tremor control, apples in stereo, of Montreal, all great bands. You don't know what you're talking about.
Posted by Anonymous | February 24, 2011 10:21 AM
I saw the last E6 tour and Mangum showed up. For the $10 price tag on the ticket, it's worth a shot. They are billing it as "E6 Collective plays songs of Neutral Milk Hotel etc." They played "The Fool" last tour which is an instrumental, no Mangum required. Yet he still came out and joined the fray for a few songs. Albeit OTC songs. Where was everybody when the Circulatory System toured their first album and Jeff Mangum was on drums? Mind blowing stuff. And, yes, that really happened. I saw them at Maxwell's and NYU. Plunk down the 10 bucks and come what may. You'd be an idiot if he shows and you were at home because you listened to the dumb asses on BV claiming to know everything.

Jeff MEHngum
Posted by Anonymous | February 24, 2011 11:29 AM
Neutral Mike,
Jeff Mangum himself has said on the E6 message boards that he will NOT be playing at any of the holiday shows. So I guess it is you that is the idiot.
Posted by Anonymous | February 24, 2011 11:32 AM
i'll sell folks the presale password for $10.
Posted by Anonymous | February 24, 2011 11:36 AM
Actually, the correct grammar is "you WHO is the idiot."
Posted by Anonymous | February 24, 2011 11:37 AM
where u want the money sent
Posted by Anonymous | February 24, 2011 11:39 AM
Perhaps I am an idiot. I have no problem with that. But he does live in NY and spoke glowingly about how much fun the last E6 tour was. So, you just don't know for sure. Could it be possible he would keep it on the downlow so as not to overshadow the shows? I think maybe. But what do I know? I am just an idiot.
Posted by Neutral Mike | February 24, 2011 11:55 AM
i'll trade the presale password for an lcd ticket.
