« The Dears playing SXSW, MHOW & other dates | Terminal 5 shows took around 45 minutes to sell out »
photos by Greg Cristman, words by BBG

[Immortal's] set was varied and opened to the tune of the title track off of their most recently released disc All Shall Fall and it was superb... The band continued playing most of their post-At The Heart Of Winter material which included plenty of material off of Sons of Northern Darkness, Damned In Black, and All Shall Fall.... Immortal simply blew me away with a live rendition of... 'Solarfall' ...with all of its excellent riffs and beautiful interludes. The powerful 'Grim and Frostbitten Kingdoms' reflected the 33 degree weather outside along with 35 mph winds that Immortal had clearly setup for the entire city to endure. The incredible pairing of Immortal and now-trio Absu teamed up for a short stint of East Coast dates including Gramercy Theatre on Saturday (2/19). Pictures from NYC show are in this post. The trek concludes on 2/26 in San Antonio.

In related news, Immortal's Demonaz has announced his solo debut, March Of The Norse, due on April 1 (Europe) and May 17 (US). Look for it in CD, limited picture disc and regular black vinyl formats.

Totally off topic but the last time I saw this post , there were these amazingly annoying BV commenters who were not only posting in every thread but were talking about TMI info. The guy kept asking her "Do you like my seven and a half inch post? Do you like my seven and a half inch post? Is it the biggest you've ever seen?" Yeah bro you're cool

OK what is with death rock heavy metal bands and all the bullshit props and or lame ass make-up all about?
