"Guitar innovators" Kaki King and Pedro da Silva each played a 30 minute set at the Museum of Modern Art last night, 2/23...
Organized in conjunction with the exhibition Picasso: Guitars 1912-1914, this program highlights the work of artists as innovative and singular in their approach to the sound of their instrument as Pablo Picasso was to the shape of his radical cardboard and sheet-metal guitars.For Kaki it was the first of many dates scheduled throughout February, March and April. She heads to Mexico before California this weekend, and she plays two more NYC shows at City Winery in April. More pictures from MoMA, below...

That weird guitar is called a harp guitar which came into the popular market by the amazaing michael hedges. Kaki sucks at playig it check out some really good harp guitar players like Michael Hedges, Andy Mckee, Don Alder,Stephen Bennett and theres a lot more.
