Oh hai, I'm a scalper thanks for the heads up Brooklyn Vegan!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:01 AM

I bought some pit tickets to the LCD MSG show off Craigslist last week. I paypaled the money to someone named JMurphy. I got my pit tickets. Is this a coincidence?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:14 AM

LCD Soundsystem can't figure out giving how to give their fans the privilege of buying their tickets while Radiohead puts their album out a day early.

James Murphy. Uber-scalper under the moniker of hack musician.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:15 AM

Totally off topic but the last time I saw LCD Soundsystem, there was this amazingly annoying couple who were not only talking during the whole show but were talking about TMI info. The guy kept asking her "Do you like my seven and a half inches? Do you like my seven and a half inches? Is it the biggest you've ever had?" Yeah bro you're cool

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:16 AM

You fools thinking LCD will sell out 4 nights at T5 are out of your minds....

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:23 AM

trying to fool-proof a ticketmaster sale identical to the msg one.
how about not working with ticketmaster james?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:29 AM

BV is really becoming a double-edged sword with all these announcements

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:32 AM

Full-proof, fool-proof, I guess it all means the same in this context.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:34 AM

STFU @ scalpers being tipped off by BV. You don't give these pros enough credit, they have inside info from Ticketmaster agents and promotor employees.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:38 AM

sorry guys, lcd isnt bigger than anything else in the world

bands sell tickets quick, maybe a little less in ny but places like la sell out indie concerts in minutes (small venues but still)

nba playoffs, world series, superbowl

yes, scalpers get alot of tickets (10%?) but unless theres going to be some law that'll shut down stubhub alot of these out of town scalpers are gonna keep doing it

so other than calling your local senator (we've seen it help with the pool parties)
just stfu and go if you get a ticket, and pay or not go if you didnt get a ticket

this isnt about lcd soundsystem anymore, more concerts you're going to want to be at are going to sell out..fast

coachella sold out in a week
sasquatch sold out in a week

going to concerts is where its at

hell I had a bunch of douche college jocks right next to me during the cut copy lolla aftershow last year

so visit brooklynvegan every day
find out when a presale/sale starts
and give it your best
thats as much as you'll be able to do in these crazy times

and on a final note, wrestlemania still not sold out

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:44 AM

they are totally going to sell out all 4 nights. they already sold out the garden and crashed websites doing it

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:45 AM

FYI with NYC's shitty broadband infrastructure, you've got no shot at any concert.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:50 AM

I can't wait for the indie bubble to burst so no one cares about tickets as much.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:52 AM

Any info on the openers? I really only want to see Liquid Liquid.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:56 AM

closest was Sect. 103 .. hate life

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 10:07 AM

got two row k sec 97 - actually what i wanted!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 10:08 AM

I hate LCD Soundsystem too..... Fabrizio pinched my nipple once because I sort of look like Drew Barrymore's brother.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 10:08 AM

Can't wait to go stage diving at this one guys!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 10:35 AM

they are totally going to sell out all 4 nights. they already sold out the garden and crashed websites doing it

That was a manufactured publicity stunt, bro.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 10:36 AM

i love all of this hipster knowledge about the ticket industry. no wonder you douches love lcd soundsystem.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 10:42 AM

The thing that pisses me off 10:42 is the fact that "hipsters" always could buy tickets to shows in a very honest, dedicated way and it made the "hipster" music community what it was. Now with scalpers seemingly swarming onto these shows, it's ruined that vibe. It's created hostility and forced "hipsters" not to slack on getting tickets like they stereotypically do (The tickets eventually always would sell out, though.) It's like the scene is getting raped for its resources.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 10:52 AM

There are currently about 120 strokes pit tickets on stub hub, most of which have shipping dates of late march, which means they were likely bought during yesterday's fan pre-sale. Does anyone buy tickets anymore with the intent of actually going to the show?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 10:55 AM

up next: hipsters complain about rent in williamsburg

"we used to be able to think about renting the place for a week or two, but lately all these real-estate guys are using the hype for their benefit"

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 11:11 AM

LCD Houndsystem is eating hummus at my house my house. We're gonna eat hummus at my house my house.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 11:12 AM

"You fools thinking LCD will sell out 4 nights at T5 are out of your minds...."

Um, LCD sold out 4 T5 shows back in May.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 11:20 AM

Totally off topic but the last time I saw LCD Soundsystem, there was this amazingly annoying couple who were not only talking during the whole show but were talking about TMI info. The guy kept asking her "Do you like my seven and a half inches? Do you like my seven and a half inches? Is it the biggest you've ever had?" Yeah bro you're cool

Shut up whoever makes these jokes. They're fucking annoying. Hummus jokes are funny. You're annoying.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 11:23 AM

yes, i am 100% opposed to censorship. and i'll chuckle at the occasional hummus joke. even the MEH meme, like a blind squirrel, occasionally finds a nut. however, i fully support the LIFETIME BAN from BV of the 7.5 inches idiot.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 11:54 AM

@11:23, My 8.5" and I find them both pretty annoying.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:01 PM

The seven and a half inches joke is funny when a spin is put onto it....but just copying and pasting it and replacing [X] with a band name is stupid. There are two identical posts on this thread.

Have some originality!

That being said, BV jokes make my world go 'round, and they musn't be censored for the goodness of the internet

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:03 PM

@12:03 - You seem chill...but if BV jokes make your "world go 'round," you need to get out a little more.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:44 PM

At first I found hummus jokes annoying but somehow they slowly won me over. I now even kind of look forward to them.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:49 PM

Give me, er, 30,000 tickets.

That'll be $950,000 please.

Look, the thing about that is, I only got $10 on me. Can I pay you the rest later?

Sure.

Posted by lisa needs braces | February 18, 2011 12:52 PM

you retards are confusing familiarity and brainwashing with enjoyment. there's a reason why tools who hang around on message boards and blog sites all day are stigmatized. get a life already, jesus. it's like 60 degrees outside today for fuck's sake.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:03 PM

believe it or not, 1:03, even some BV readers have jobs

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:11 PM

wrestlemania would sell out if it added LCD

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:11 PM

prety funny 111.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:23 PM

I think it's possible 1:03 actually sees no irony in his/her post.
