Mr T and Louis CK

Back on January 20th, a week before the Decemberists got a whole bunch of press for their chart success, Billboard reported that...

Louis C.K. scores his first Billboard No. 1, as "Hilarious" debuts atop the Comedy Albums chart.

The stand-up comedian and star of the FX breakout hit "Louie" peaked at No. 5 in his previous appearance on the list with "Chewed Up" in 2009.

The new album insightfully jabs that "everything's amazing and nobody's happy," expanding upon a routine that became a viral sensation after Louis C.K. appeared on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" in 2008:

Congrats to Louis CK! Catch him live at Caroline's in NYC, at one of the nine shows he's doing between February 24th and 27th. Tickets are on sale.

great job Louis! keep up the amazing work

Too expensive, considering its one guy and he doesn't have to split it with band members or a crew or anything.

After seeing him perform at Carnegie Hall a couple of months ago, I don't see myself going back to seeing him at Caroline's...

Wow. #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. What is that, 70 sold?

Posted by Anonymous | February 2, 2011 10:18 AM

anyone who pays money to see a popular comedian in New York is a sucker. You can catch any of these guys most nights for free.

10:03: How come? Was it that bad?

How is the seating at Caroline's? Is it super cramped like the Blue Note Jazz Club?

Posted by Anonymous | February 2, 2011 10:40 AM

seating at caroline's is first come first serve. it's a really wide space. don't sit in the front. you'll be humiliated.

I am just wondering why T looks all sweaty, sans jewelry.

Posted by Anonymous | February 2, 2011 12:12 PM

And CK looks either stoned or hopped up on crack!

damn... wish these shows weren't so expensive

Posted by Anonymous | February 3, 2011 3:42 PM

I've been to Carolines a few times. The whole thing with them is that you aren't JUST paying for the stand-up. You are paying for the spacious room and the menu/service. It's upscale. Not sure what you guys would expect.

MR T. is a legend - I couldn't believe it when he made a bit of a comeback in the UK thats to the Friday night project boys. It's all about the Snickers advert - get some Nuts!

I can't believe the T-ster came back into my life after so many years. Shame he didn't take part in the A-team movie though

Mr T was great in Rocky 3 with Stallone, he added a real snarling menace to that character.

I love MR T's Snickers advert where he drives onto the football field in a tank and throws a snickers bar at the wimp soccer player.
