Odd Future
Odd Future

Before Tyler, The Creator lost his shoe and played Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Odd Future headlined at Santos on 2/15 to a sold out crowd of bouncy fans. The packed house saw the LA crew take their Gravediggaz/early Def Jux/Fondle 'Em sound to the stage, the show floor, on top of monitors, and behind wigs as they kicked out joints like "Yonkers" and "Sandwitches".

Check out the full set of pictures (below) from Santos of the band on-stage and off right next to a set of the crew backstage at Jimmy Fallon (?uestlove and Mos Def alert).

In addition, below you'll find some videos including an incredible one of Odd Future watching their Fallon performance played back to them for the first time

UPDATE: Powers from above have asked us to remove any pictures and videos taken inside Fallon's place. Sorry!. The rest is still below though...

Great shots, and I'm extremely jealous of Tyler's Cam'ron shirt.

"drinkin sake in a suzuki out in Osaka bay" is a way better place to be than wherever the rest of us usually are.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 3:59 PM

i hope these guys murder ninjasonik. literally murder them.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 4:01 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 4:19 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 4:19 PM

Great! Thanks a lot, BV. Now you've alerted scalpers to purchase their tickets the next time they come to NYC.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 4:20 PM

Look at all the white kids being rebellious against their whiteness.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 4:25 PM

This is obviously a joke. Black people don't know how to skateboard

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 4:26 PM

ZOMG, crowd surfing!!! Jumping around on stage spitting odd rhymes!!! And wearing masks and ski caps and having backup dancers while doing it you say

Now that is MEGA insane and certainly has never been done before in hip hop.

Yes please young little(mostly white)boys, who think you are all knowing and on the cutting edge, tell me all about this genius breaking new ground band.

Silly stupid fucks. Yeah they are a good new band but stop with the over hype. It's been there done that and done much better.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 4:26 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 4:59 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 5:08 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 5:09 PM

I LOVE THIS CONTROVERSIAL EDGY HORRORCORE RAP GROUP. I WANT THEM TO BECOME VERY FAMOUS AND SHOW THE WORLD KIDS CANNOT BE PUT INTO A BOX AND I WILL REBEL AGAINST SOCIETY AND ANY LIFE THAT RESEMBLES YOURS MOM!!!

Posted by pedro | February 18, 2011 6:58 PM

has paula poundstone sold out gramercy theater yet?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 7:10 PM

Kinda sad to see a good hip hop group eating up the stardom shit too much that came from the underground.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 7:29 PM

Fucking magnets, how do they work?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 7:52 PM

niggaz like hummus?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 8:00 PM

And also sad to see their idiot lyrics about rape.
Looks like they had some childhood abuse problems.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 8:17 PM

I wish they were a phenomenon that can be easily dismissed as talentless and all that, but they arent. I'm skeptical; I'm digging the songs ive heard so far, but I havent drank the Kool-Aid just yet.

All the PC warriors crying about the lyrics, listen to Beach House exclusively, and dont comment on anything else. These are probably the same people that think rappers shouldnt say "bitches" or "niggas" in their songs.

Posted by GregBX | February 18, 2011 8:46 PM

modern day cool kids?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 8:47 PM

PC warriors? You sound like a moron. Theres a lot of hip hop that doesn't boast about rape and killing. In fact most does not, especially so called indie or underground hip hop.

Greg are you kinda young and haven't heard much music? I listen to a lot of different stuff as Im sure those do to who think their shock lyrics are idiotic.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:06 PM

Which Dalek from NJ had gotten more attention in the states rather than just Europe.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 9:10 PM

I'm not willing to turn this into a dick-measuring contest as to who listens to a wider variety of music, but I'm gonna assume that I listen to a much larger variety than you. We can start listing if you want, but I really dont want to go down that road, because it seems like unnecessary bragging.

Also, if you read my comment correctly, I dont actually consider myself a fan. They have some talented people in the group, and some sub-par members. I havent heard enough to make an educated judgment of them yet.

And their lyrics, no matter how idiotic they may sound, are meant to shock. And apparently theyre doing their job. They'll probably regret them in the future. Who knows?

Posted by GregBX | February 18, 2011 9:11 PM

only thing worse than rich white kids rapping is rich black kids rapping

Posted by Anonymous | February 19, 2011 12:10 AM

Posted by Anonymous | February 19, 2011 12:56 AM

I am pumped that saying 'faggot' is cool again - that shit makes me feel hella high self esteem

Posted by Anonymous | February 19, 2011 1:38 AM

Funny list. I couldnt see that one coming from a mile away.

It's alright. I know more than you. The sooner you accept that, the quicker you can move on.

Posted by Anonymous | February 19, 2011 4:37 PM

why is it bad to have lyrics about rape ?

ANSWER ME.

Posted by Anonymous | February 19, 2011 4:43 PM

the same people who point out "questionable" lyrics in rap music NEVER say that hollywood movies are promoting "questionable" values;
RACIST HYPOCRITE MOTHERFUCKERS

Posted by Anonymous | February 19, 2011 8:41 PM

What makes anybody racist on here because people are pointing out this juvenile crap with macho abuse lyrics in the first person. Doesnt sound like there pointing out rape has happened to someone and thats negative.

Yes most hollywood movies are not worth watching at all thats for sure. These guys have some daddy issues thats for sure. Its like hipster eminen.

Posted by Anonymous | February 19, 2011 10:13 PM

This shit is fucking horrible. Having The Roots and Mos Def vouch for it doesn't make it any more interesting or less shitty.

Posted by Crosseyed Sniper | February 20, 2011 12:51 AM

SHUT THE FUCK UP nobodys saying this shit is 100% original but they are the first kids to rap about skating mayhem and being a fucking lonely fucked up hooligan in the shitty myspace modern age. Maybe its been done before but never quite like this and it resonates with many of us. GO LISTEN TO ANIMAL COLLECTIVE AND FEEL LIKE YOU'RE BETTER THEN ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS YOU FUCKING FAGGOTS

Posted by Sean | February 20, 2011 11:06 AM

Wasn't the whole "skating" rap thing Lupe Fiasco? And fuckin Pharrell Williams before him? I didn't realize they were the first.

Posted by Anonymous | February 20, 2011 4:51 PM

DJ using Numark CD players = as gay as it gets.

Posted by Anonymous | February 20, 2011 5:13 PM

These so called "rappers" have so little talent that I guarentee in 6 months nobody will ever hear of them again... And that is reason enough to celebrate and dump a bowl of hummus down to my fallen homies.

Posted by Anonymous | February 20, 2011 5:20 PM

@5:20 Stay tuned bitch. You'll be eatin' your shit you fucking bottom feeder.

These young fellows seem like they are dangerously low on their hummus consumption. I really am concerned. Does anyone know who their tour manager is? Perhaps we could all mail them a can of Goya chickpeas and hope it reaches them.

Posted by Anonymous | February 22, 2011 3:13 AM

I nominate this person for their tour manager.
