Pinback at MHOW (more by Tim Griffin)
Pinback

Though still no word of any Three Mile Pilot dates on the East Coast, Zach Smith's other project Pinback is heading past the Mississippi to play a string of tour dates. Those dates will include a stop in NYC at Highline Ballroom on April 29th. Tickets are on sale.

Pinback is not touring behind an announced new record, so no word as to whether the dates show will be regular Pinback sets or like one of the special sets like they did last month that concentrated on either all of This Is a Pinback Record or all of Blue Screen Life.

All tour dates and some videos below.

would love to hear them play the "some voices" EP, the best thing they did imo

i really want there to be a new album!!

It would be great if they could play "Sigh No More" by the Mumford & Sons from front to back. In fact, a Mumford & Sons cover should be obligatory in every band's set. I don't understand why they aren't headlining Coachella!

it would be really great if Three Mile Pilot toured behind the brilliant album they released last year. Nothing against Pinback, but I am DYING to see 3MP again...

Pinback or 3mp would be an obvious Coachella choice. Too bad. 3 Mile Pilot are a pre internet tastemaker, virginal band. I love em. Anyone know if they re released all their albums?

Small venue and super intimate

I was a Pinback superfan circa '02-'03 but they kinda lost me with all that proggier stuff that followed. Hope this means a return to form for these guys, because they used to kill it live, too.

show at Highline was AWFUL, the band, I guess was pretty good, but I couldn't tell cause the SHITTY SOUND CUT OUT EVERY 30 SECONDS. And neither the venue, the band nor the sound guy said 'hey, lets take a 15 minute break and fix this' they just played through with literally not one song being listenable. BULL SHIT
