Qotsa sold out at noon. I was on Ticketmaster at 12:00 exactly and there were no tickets available. Fucking scalpers, seriously?

Posted by panopticon | February 18, 2011 12:04 PM

Edit: Plenty available for $72 and up on StubHub... grrrr...

Posted by panopticon | February 18, 2011 12:06 PM

florance went right away too

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:10 PM

florence is looking like the LCD bullshit all over again, i was there at noon and there was nothing

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:12 PM

I got PJ Harvey, struck out on QOTSA. Annoying.

Posted by Funderburgh | February 18, 2011 12:12 PM

Now BrooklynVegan is just doing it to spite all us non-scalper fans.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:12 PM

I managed to get two to Florence... I have a feeling she'll be adding more dates.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:13 PM

Don't be a dumbass. Instead of complaining about scalpers, which is a fact of life/capitalism, work it to your advantage. Do you think all those tickets on Stubhub will sell? Eventually you'll be able to get those for less than what you'd pay Ticketmaster. Mark my words. I know it's a better feeling for most people to have tickets in hand and be set a month in advance, but you'll be able to go to the show and likely pay less money.

There must be a newly updated form of scalper technology they've been using in recent weeks because this is just kind of ridiculous at this point.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:16 PM

"Now BrooklynVegan is just doing it to spite all us non-scalper fans."

BrooklynVegan has always posted ticket onsales and presales...

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:17 PM

BrooklynVegan is ruining my life. Ever since they got cited in articles for the LCD Soundsystem sell out, all my scalper friends have been reading it and grabbing tickets easily using their evildoer technology to shows I want to go to. It's not fair.

What annoys me is that TM doesn't let you seach/buy for two shows at once. QOTSA and PJ Harvey both went on sale at noon, but separate IE tabs didn't do me any favors. Once you reach the finish line in one window, the other mirrors it. Not that this happens all that often, but when it does - definitely frustrating.

Posted by Funderburgh | February 18, 2011 12:20 PM

Shhhhh 12:15, do not try to make sense to these idiots. Let them be clueless in the dark to all this and i can continue to pay less than face to these shows.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:21 PM

Got 2 PJ. Missed out on Florence.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:23 PM

im 2/2 today - got loge 97 for stroes and qotsa!!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:24 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:25 PM

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:43 PM

sorry to rain on your parade 12:24 but your strokes seats suck big time!

Posted by me | February 18, 2011 12:50 PM

the tame impala/yuck show...very quietly will be one of the best tickets of the spring / early summer

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:53 PM

april 2nd: lcd + gold panda + caribou

best night of the year!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:02 PM

Can QOTSA add another date...FML!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:02 PM

I agree with 1216 . This is getting bizarre.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:04 PM

QOTSA should have played MSG.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:05 PM

WE SHOULD HYPE SOME SHITTY SHOW IN THE COMMENT SECTION JUST TO MAKE SCALPERS BUY

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:10 PM

12:53 and 1:10 both have the ring of truth.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:27 PM

This isn't even funny or acceptable. My little sister is crying her eyes out because I couldn't score tickets for her birthday to see fucking Flojo and the Machine. I do not need this stress right now!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:28 PM

YOU SHOULD HYPE IT IN ALL CAPS, TOO. THAT WOULD REALLY SHOW THEM!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:33 PM

yes! that paula poundstone concert is gonna be EPIC. i'm already filling my pockets with hummus for this one. thanks for the tip!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:34 PM

1:28 you little sis sounds like an a-hole

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:34 PM

I agree that there is some new development regarding new technoglogy from the companies that buy thousands of tickets are using. Ticketmaster is immediately flooded when tix go on sale, is slow, and is sold out immediately and a plain person does not have a chance.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:42 PM

Muwahaha I am a scalper and I am going to buy all the shows to your so-called "hipster" bands! NOW GIVE ME A LIST OF BANDS I SHOULD MOP UP TICKETS FOR, OR ELSE YOU WILL NEVER SEE THOSE LCD MSG TICKET PRICES ON STUBHUB GO DOWN! Muwahahaha I am an evildoer and BrooklynVegan has joined my darkside. Muwahaha...

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:48 PM

Paula Poundstone show is going to be the show of the year. Calling it now.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:51 PM

1:34, she's just a kid. We've all been there before with our early favorite bands. I have faith she'll start thinking for herself soon when it comes to music and one day laugh about caring as much as she did about this dumb wanker singer.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:53 PM

I heard they might add four additional Paula Poundstone dates at T5.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:57 PM

terminal 5 can Blow Me

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 2:03 PM

the surviving members of the beatles are opening for paula poundstone at gramercy. you heard it here first.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 2:18 PM

I got 2 Florence tix at 1pm, an hour after it "sold out." Maybe I should have posted this earlier, but keep trying.

Posted by M | February 18, 2011 2:21 PM

Florence and her wailing voice. Now she's really good. NOT!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 2:31 PM

Off topic, but the last time I saw Paula Poundstone....(not going there)

Posted by Dan | February 18, 2011 2:42 PM

T5 blows goats.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 3:57 PM

Paula Poundstone and the BV cunts - NOT reuniting! -- Advance notice!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 6:30 PM

oh Paula! I've been waiting for years...
I was not so much into her last album, but hell this is Paula,
So if those smart scalpers dont spoil the party before it begins, I 'm deftly treating all of you to the afterparty at MSG.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 6:34 PM

Devendra Banhart was added to the Paula Poundstone show!
