I like Rise Against, but they should NOT have had Rancid opening for them and they should NOT have Bad Religion opening for them. It all seems so backwards and wrong.

Posted by Anonymous | February 7, 2011 8:35 PM

i agree ^^

saw them with rancid in 09 at boston's house of blues. rancid killed it, rise against were great as usual, but rancid were a tough act to follow.

My favorite band of all time playing on my birthday. Cannot beat it...Actually they can beat it. have BR play over Rise Against and not charge 40 bucks, and not have it at shitty T5. Either way, I'll take it. I dont pass up BR shows.

WHAT THE FUCK?

BR way better than ra

WHAT THE FUCK?

BR way better than ra

Posted by Anonymous | February 7, 2011 10:09 PM

Yes they are but RA are more commercially succesful, so thats how this works. Doesnt make me hate this arrangement any less. I mean BR did open for Blink-182 11 years ago, but Blink were the biggest band in the world at the time. BR plays venues the size of T5 all the time, so them getting stepped over by RA still sucks.

Posted by GregBX | February 7, 2011 10:56 PM

Kinda sad, I saw RA open for BR a few years back.

Posted by Anonymous | February 7, 2011 11:29 PM

Yep, that was at Webster Hall in 2004. Sadly they had the screamo band From First to Last open also. Poor choice of opener, but they were signed to Epitaph, so I guess it was to be expected.

Someone please burn down terminal 5

Dear Bad Religion: Please play some punk venues with some punk bands. -Thank you

Posted by Anonymous | February 8, 2011 9:14 AM

I love Blink 182! They killed it @ Waterloo Village! The guy from Bad Religion was angry. LOL!

Posted by Anonymous | February 8, 2011 10:08 AM

blink 182, the last great punk band

Posted by Anonymous | February 8, 2011 10:26 AM

dear 9:14, they just did 3 nights last fall playing with the aggrolites and off with their heads. all 3 shows were amazing.

Posted by Anonymous | February 8, 2011 1:11 PM

I know. I was at the first 2 shows. All 3 bands were great, but OWTH and The Aggrolites went over like a lead balloon. I'm not a fan of Irving Plaza and crowd was probably one of the worst I've ever seen.
