The presale is over, and tickets are now on general sale for the TV on the Radio show at Radio City Music Hall.

Tickets go on sale at noon for Florence & the Machine show at Summerstage. (presales sold out quickly).

Tickets go on sale Friday, 2/25, for the Jeff Mangum show at Town Hall. The Jersey City Loew's tickets will reportedly go on pre-sale the same day with general sale beginning on that Saturday (2/26).

Thanks to BV and others hyping all these sales, we're going to be able to get really cheap tickets in the months to come. There is a 6 day gap in Florence tour schedule after the NY show. At least two more shows will be added. There are tons of tickets on Stubhub already. If clueless scalper wannabes keep buying at this rate, tickets will be going for less than half the face value when the shows come around. If it's a rainy day, then they'll be giving them away.

Why would Florence add two more shows? Fool.

It's time BrooklynVegan and all these ticket hyping sites put their evildoers games to rest. That's why I'm putting together a contact list and iniative together of BrooklynVegan-centric bands who will no longer advertise or allow for publication of content of them on this site. It's time we take back our shows!

"hyping these sales" LOL.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 11:44 AM

comment of the week, 11:44. thanks for the LOL

if it's not here, it's somewhere else. i think you're overestimating the influence this site in specific has on ticket sales.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 11:54 AM

11:54, I think you are overestimating that amount of actual intelligence those idiots have

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 11:57 AM

Those dastardly BrooklynVegan evildoers! *shakes fist*

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 11:58 AM

who?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:02 PM

sold out machine.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:03 PM

why is every show selling out in less than a min?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:03 PM

scalpers technology is killing ticket opportunities... it's a joke that F+TM would sell out instantly... ticketmaster has to improve the system to keep computer programs from gaming it and buying tix instantly... so awful... never seen anything like this before... every show with middling or more demand sells out instantly

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:11 PM

Hooray! Scalpers and their bots and their $2/hr employees in India win again! We don't stand a chance anymore. Good news: all tickets are available on StubHub for 3x price!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:15 PM

Dude...12:11pm is totally also 11:44am.

Do you still have a rotary phone too?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:16 PM

@12:16 . . why the jab? are you a scum-sucking broker? i think we're all just fed up with not being able to see bands and artists that we like. promoters, tm and brokers all make out like bandits and we, the fans, continue to get screwed!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:25 PM

@12:16 cool rotory phone joke!

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:29 PM

Boy, the LCD scalper hijack fiasco has made everyone here paranoid. Not every other show that you can't get tickets for within the first 15 minutes of sale is being scoured by scalpers/bots.

Seating capacity at Summerstage is approx. 2000. There are over 600 tickets for sale on StubHub alone. Do the math.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:38 PM

@12:38 you know that they fit 5,000 people into summerstage right?

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:41 PM

@12:41 . . yes, if you don't mind sitting behind the fence.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:51 PM

Summerstage holds like 5 or 6 thousand. Last time she played t5, tickets were going for 200 bucks week of the show.

Not exactly a surprise (or scalper conspiracy) that it sold out so quickly.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:52 PM

"Last time she played t5, tickets were going for 200 bucks week of the show."

HAHAHAHA, and where were you trying to get tickets from? Imaginaryville? You are such a fucking lying piece of shit. They put more tickets on sale days before the show as they always do. I got 2 tickets off craigslist the day before for face and then the night of the show 2 more friends wanted to go and they bought tickets outside T5 for face as well. Oh and there were tons of people outside selling as well.

Stop with the stupid fear and misinformation. I cannot imagine any idiot paying 200 dollars to see Florence at T5 but then i guess that is why they are an idiot.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:57 PM

@12:51 no. not true. most of that 5,000 is gen admission in front of the stage-there are bleachers behind that are for whoever with tired legs but you are very much mistaken. might wanna reup on yah hummus.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 12:58 PM

For those worrying about Florence and the Machine tickets, you should probably stop caring about that and worry about that fact that you want to see Florence and the Machine.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2011 1:07 PM
