7:00pm Presentations in the Gala Tent
8:15pm Opening Night Concert with Andrew Bird (free to the public)

Wow, that has to be the weakest opener for opening night in years.

These galas would be so much better if they could do away with the public.

Bird looks like a homeless subway performer in that pic.

The "cocktails and dinner at 5:30" is certainly going to be wine and hummus.

Fuck that shit, Roseland Ballroom is on fire!

Andrew Bird was pecking at my hummus last year at Bonnaroo. I kept trying to shoe him away.

This guy is so dull it's painful. Boring music for boring people.

Good riddance. Maybe know they'll turn it into something that's not a complete waste of space.

Andrew Bird? I demand the newest hipster indie generic pop. If there aren't four mustachioed, plaid, reverb-pedal dudes on the stage, I'm gonna stay in Williamsburg.

Really looking forward to Friday Night! I'm gonna rent a few old black and white movies and make crepes. Should be immensely more satisfying than an evening with Andrew Bird.

You bunch of ungrateful, miserable bastards. Stay in your quarters and complain all you want, I'm gonna enjoy free amazing music and a beautiful park. Who are you people?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2011 12:52 AM

when is a good time to get there?

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2011 11:46 AM

The new hipsters.....hipsters who hate hipsters. Thank you for staying home. Please squalor in your misery away from me. In the mean time I will be enjoying free music.

You people are the bane of our culture and the reason the future will fail. Continue buying apple products, being pessimistic scum and ignoring what your government is doing.

Posted by Anonymous | June 10, 2011 5:13 PM

i can't believe the discussion here still involves hummus... aren't you bored?

Posted by Anonymous | June 15, 2011 8:06 AM

these posts are hiLarious. As a random Aussie residing in Oakland I'm laughing out loud at the hummus-eating-Bird-dissing-sometimes music-hating-lovely-hipsters. Really, thanks for that laugh. The world is funny once more...
