WHY
Posted by Anonymous | March 16, 2011 10:30 AM
what a sad turn of events they turned out to be.

HR is also playing the Brighton Bar in Long Branch on April 9th.

Band still rips! HR pretty out of it, but he sounded much better at the Vice Halloween party than he did over the last few years and I hear the show they did in Brooklyn last summer was their best in years. HR's singing can be terrible now, but if he tries makes an effort it is worth it. Legends.

No 10:43, it's not worth it. Here's the thing with hardcore bands, youre supposed to quit while youre ahead and before you become a shell of your former selves. The band still plays like madmen, but HR has really brought them down. They need to end it already.
You dont see Black Flag or Minor Threat still playing; take the hint. Your glory days are behind you.

get john joseph to front the band and then i will go see them. HR is but a shell of what he once was. crack cocaine'd.

they were pretty great at the vice halloween party, much better than i expected. but still, nothing compared to the intensity of their early period, judging from videos anyway.

Saw them quite a few times during the early 80s and that hype is real , one of the greatest live bands ever for a few years.
Now - proceed with caution
HR solo - avoid at all costs

bad brains are sexist homophones and anti semites, they make no qualms about it. hr is a schitzophenic zelalot. band is embarrassing the entire history of 80s hardcore.
the first LP is still legit though

@11:24 No! John Joseph did two shows with them at CBGB's and it was just awful. He needs to stick with the Cro-Mags material.

"build a nation" is a fantastic record......white hot. and that only came out a few years ago. that record is muscular and so was their tour behind it.......I saw that show and said to myself: "oh my."
