this and bella union's churchy event on the fri night with john grant and midlake were among the highlights this year. i also managed to get into a v secret show in rm 704 at the Driskill where alessi's ark played a set on the end of a bed to 20 people including a writer from the NY Times who blogged it today!http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/03/19/miniature-shampoo-bottles-and-acoustic-sets-in-an-austin-hotel-room/

not true -- i care about those hot tight young thangs in pic #1 & #2. oh, and i sure as fuck care about the DFA 1979 reunion. but yeah, the rest of it is lame and makes me want to eat more hummus.

I'll be singing in the shower later to an audience of my dick - my balls will be blogging about it as it happens.

This looks like some bad wedding reception/backyard BBQ that was poorly attended.

Vetiver rules. Totally solid band, and Andy Cabic is a super nice dude. And the last time I saw them, their new songs reminded me of the Replacements. Hope they come back to NYC soon.
And Thousands is are great too, very mellow, but beautiful songs. Cool that they were at sxsw, I didn't think they ever toured.

Who cares if it was hugely attended or not. Looks like a great venue to play
