"When famed arcade Chinatown Fair finally closed two weeks ago, manager Henry Cen mentioned a possible move to Brooklyn. And apparently that's already happened. Bifuteki reports (video below) that Cen has opened "Next Level Arcade" in Sunset Park. That video is below...The setup is currently pretty bare, with Marvel v. Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, and there are reportedly plans to open a bubble tea shop. But so far it looks like a lot of white walls." [Gothamist]

Place hasn't been the same since they got rid of the Tic-Tac-Toe & Dancing Chickens years ago.

I love how after people got upset about it being cruel, they just removed the word 'Chickens' from the sign and left 'World Famous Dancing and Tic Tac Toe'

Would you please bring more classic and fighting games? I never tried Next Level but I will wait till the weather gets warmer.

Chinatown Fair will never be the same, not since it moved to Sunset Park! can't believe it moved there of all places! no fucking chinese people there and its a ghetto piece of shit..
Play marvel vs capcom and get robbed, should have paid the Fujans more table money and stay on Mott street. I'm sure if you got enough of those DDR motherfuckers and stream monsters to donate money, CF would be there open today.

I'm sure in time "Next Level" will start to look like Chinatown Fair, give it a few years. Sunset Park is seedy enough to make it happen. I live near Sunset Park and I love it, get some awesome mexican food at Ricos Tacos, plenty of weird stores to shop in then head to Next Level. 5th Avenue Sunset Park is a hell of a lot more interesting than most of Manhattan which has gotten booorrrriiinngggg, whoever thought a place like Chinatown Fair could survive in Manhattan is living in a fog, Bloomberg and Co. will bulldoze anything interesting and seedy.

Next Level is in Brooklyn Chinatown? Boring, it will never make it.

Agree with Conrad, what happened in Miami Beach will happen in NYC, anything with edge will be bulldozed, Bloomy wants this to be a designer city only. So long CF, had great times there. There are a lot of problems with gangs right now in Sunset Park, could be interesting.

they should bring para para paradise, and other games not seen in new york to the arcade. it would attract me to have newer games that aren't only fighting .

To this fucker who's probably an adolescent to begin with, respect Barcade because it's the only real arcade that exists in New York City.
Furthermore, being a Hipster has nothing to do with DDR or Fighting Games. Hop off the pathetic cliches and use your brain to think outside of the typical standard set by a stupid society.
In short, grow up. Visit Barcade. You might learn something.
