That's true - May 11th at Webster Hall and May 12th at Music Hall of Williamsburg, both part of the upcoming Sleigh Bells/CSS tour, are sold out. The good news is that the bands have added another show. It happens May 15th at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets go on sale Friday at noon.

Princeton, who were just in town not long ago, will open the new Bowery date and the sold out MHOW date. Mr. Dream and Seagull open at Webster Hall.

CSS are currently working on a new LP (24 songs written) and according to a recent Brazilian article will release it in 2011.

All CSS and Princeton dates and some recent live video below...

Selling out in one day is no big thing. Any talentless group can do it. Look at LCD SS.

^ upset his band did not sell out Spike Hill

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 6:12 PM

6:12 references spike hill? POSUER !!!

on which street in williamsburg do you live ? how much is your allowance from mom and dad ?

LOL that show sold out because of Sleigh Bells, not because of CSS. on the other hand, i'm pretty bummed out that the Webster Hall date is, which i have 2 tickets for, is the same day as James Blake. if anyone has MHoW tickets that they'd trade, i'd be forever grateful.

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 6:29 PM

that's funny, i was going to say it has nothing to do with sleigh bells. they are so, so bad. i really don't get how anyone is willing to book and/or tour with them. it's painful to hear.

6:12 silently contemplates the fact that his words highlight his poseurness

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 6:46 PM

I'd like the #4 with Moo Goo Gai Pan.

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 6:50 PM

Sold out because of Sleigh Bells not CSS obvs

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 6:52 PM

Obvs.

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 6:54 PM

are you people retarded? obvs

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 7:33 PM

why isnt mr dream doing more of these dates

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 8:04 PM

8=======D

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 8:54 PM

Yeah, LOLing that CSS think they sold it out. While I think both bands are pretty terrible, Sleigh Bells are riding a wave of hype right now while CSS are clearly on the decline.

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 9:15 PM

fun fact: The CSS headlined show @ MHoW sold out way before the Sleigh Bells headlined show @ Webster Hall. Donkey might've been disappointing, but CSS put on a hell of show.

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 10:59 PM

Webster Hall holds 1,400. MHOW holds 550. Makes sense.

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 11:24 PM

It is pretty sad that CSS think the shows sold out because they are on the bill. Very sad.

Posted by Anonymous | March 8, 2011 11:24 PM

SEAGULL have the opening slot on that webster show!
were pretty much on at doors. pls check this out:

does anyone realize that sleigh bells ARE the CSS of five years ago? this is like looking into the future

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2011 12:13 AM

Good riddance. Maybe know they'll turn it into something that's not a complete waste of space.

Posted by ANUNTURI | March 9, 2011 5:13 AM

@ 11:24, yeah it makes sense. I think the reason this sold out so fast is because the two bands are together on the bill. I doubt this would've happened so fast had they been separate. It still sounds like a fun show though.

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2011 9:28 AM

@12:13 Hahaha too true.

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2011 10:31 AM

note to self:

where not to be May 11 & 12 & 15th anywhere near these venues

And don't lump LCD in with these bands... James Murphy is Bob Dylan compared to these chumps..

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2011 11:06 AM

Princeton? hahahaha

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2011 12:10 PM

I like that half the Sleigh Bells tour gets the wussy indie pop garbage that is Princeton and the other half gets the awesome Albini-ism of Mr. Dream. Girls who show up in American Apparel outfits expecting to dance all night are going to have a wtf look on their face during Mr. Dream's set. If someone gave me a free ticket to one of those shows, I'd show up just for Mr. Dream's set and to see the crowd look confused or chill at the bar from afar. While I feel bad that Mr. Dream is opening for these clowns, I'm sure the pay day is pretty good.

Will lovefoxxx be chunky like on their self titled album, or skinny like she was durring donkey? If shes chunky, I probably wouldn't hit it, but I would probably listen to it.

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2011 12:50 PM

what? she was never chunky. I saw them in 2006 and she was def fit.

it definitely sold out so fast due to the combination of both groups on the bill. for a certain crowd (indie kids that want to dance?) this is a dream bill.

Lets Make Love is a significantly better song than any song on that Sleigh Bells album.

And while I'm being critical of overrated bands, Lets Make Love is also a significantly better Blondie cover than Sprawl II. Bite it hipsters!

Sincerily,

Hipster from the previous decade

12:18 - any show you attend immediately goes downhill the minute you walk in the door.

Please do not even enter, or "chill at the bar."

Posted by Anonymous | March 9, 2011 7:19 PM

did this really just sell out in a minute?

Posted by jae | March 11, 2011 12:06 PM

Apparently so. What

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2011 12:20 PM

actually was getting sold out, then got some 10 min later
