Eels at Terminal 5 (photos by Andrew St. Clair)

After mounting a less than three month, four continent world tour last year, Eels will dial it down a notch for a second set of dates this year that will only take them across three continents in around the same amount of time. Kicking off in California on June 1st, the band will head to China to play a pair of dates and then tour Europe before heading back to the US where they'll eventually play Music Hall of Williamsburg on July 29 & July 30 (much smaller than Terminal 5). Look for tickets on Ticketmaster soon.

The band is also offering a free download of a three-song EP culled from the band's recent three LPs: Hombre Lobo, End Times, and Tomorrow Morning. Download that for the price of an email address, and check out all tour dates (and some videos) below.

Eels are good, but the last few albums have been weak.

How heavy on the stuff from the last 3 albums was the Terminal 5 show? Debating checking this his older albums, but the last 3 are so dull.

The T5 show was mostly the last 3 albums. Nothing from Electro-Shock Blues. Only one or two from Blinking Lights. Kinda meh.

Do they still play Novocaine For The Soul?

that's pretty cool how Joaquin Phoenix went from acting to rapping to singing in The Eels. He's a very talented guy!
