Harvey Milk

"First of all I now realize no matter how loud I dial it up at home, praying the dude next to me isn't home, this is meant to be heard at full volume with all of it's floor shaking rumbling and silences. Union Pool was the perfect place to be close enough to hear Creston's vocals... They announced they were playing 'Human Kindness' straight through and then [would] play 'as long as we physically can as long as we don't have to play an encore.'" [7 Inches]
Harvey Milk played the first show of a three night Union Pool residency last night (3/13) with Occultation (mem Negative Plane). The party continues tonight with Villains and wraps up on Tuesday (3/15) with Luke Roberts. Tickets for both nights (3/14 & 3/15) are still available.

8 songs, that's it?

Posted by Anonymous | March 14, 2011 1:15 PM

The first "song" was the whole Small Turn of Human Kindness album.

Posted by Anonymous | March 14, 2011 2:36 PM

Set times? Or what time did they finish?

Posted by Anonymous | March 14, 2011 2:37 PM

They finished at almost exactly midnight. Doors opened about an hour later than previously announced.

Posted by Anonymous | March 14, 2011 3:10 PM

Opener at 9:30pm and Harvey Milk at 10:30pm. Tonight's show will sell out as well so best to get tickets now if you want to come.

Posted by Anonymous | March 14, 2011 4:54 PM

Who cares about the start time. What's important is what time they finished playing that horrible sound.

Special Wishes on tuesday.

Posted by Anonymous | March 14, 2011 6:26 PM

They played all of The Pleaser last night. I guess all of Special Wishes tonight isn't a bad guess

Posted by Anonymous | March 15, 2011 11:26 AM

Posted by Anonymous | March 15, 2011 3:09 PM

no full album tonight, just brought the fuckin rock

Posted by Anonymous | March 16, 2011 1:42 AM

Harvey Milk is a great band but that venue is a little crowded by the stage area. Union Pool spent more time making the patio worth while than where you see the bands.

Posted by Anonymous | March 16, 2011 2:34 AM

The worst part of the venue is the stage is below knee level and if you're pushed up against it it's really uncomfortable.

Still, these shows fuckin ruled
