LCD
LCD

After an opening 8pm set by Liquid Liquid, LCD Soundsystem played for over 3 hours, starting at 9:10pm, at Terminal 5 in NYC last night (3/28). The show, their first of their last, was split into three sets. Each set had a short break in between, though James Murphy didn't play much of a frontman role during the 2nd set so in a way that one seemed like a much longer break for him. In fact, the jammy 2nd set (update: which included 45:33 stuff) started with a guest appearance by Reggie Watts on vocals. Speaking of vocals, Nancy Whang's singing was often showcased throughout the night, in addition to her keyboard/synth skills. Pat Mahoney got a great workout behind the kit (as did multi-instrumentalist Al Doyle at times). The night ended with a one song "NY I Love You" encore. The entire setlist is below.

I got there around 8:45 (missed Liquid Liquid unfortunately) and there was no line to get in. It was packed, but thanks to the set changes I was able to get pretty close when people moved around during the first break. If I hadn't been watching from the right side of the room when the show started, I might not have realized that there was a boys chorus stationed above the stage on the balcony (left side, stage right). James did acknowledge them though, and at least once during the show the shirtless and shredding Al Doyle (who often seemed to play the bandleader role) looked up at them with a very approving "you just nailed that part" grin. Based on LCD's March 10th tweet, we know the chorus haven't been playing with the band for that long (despite the plan to have them from the start).

James narrated the show. He told us about the set breaks ahead of time, apologized for stuff, introduced all band members multiple times. Said stuff like, "we learned a lot of stuff for this show and have more band members around to make sure we can play it all" and "we haven't played that one in 6 years... or was it 5 years," and "this is like a finale and a reunion for us since we're so old." It'll be interesting to see if they change the setlist at all night to night (they played the same set every night last time they played multiple nights at Terminal 5).

The show is long and great, full of hits and rarities, and you'll want to dance, so if you're going to the second show tonight (3/28), or the third tomorrow, or the fourth the day after that, or LCD's final show ever at MSG on Saturday, try to go with some energy.

Yes another LCD post!

Posted by GW | March 29, 2011 12:10 PM

chorus was amazing on dance yourself clean and sound of silver

such a great addition

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:11 PM

T5 sound is 1000000000% better than it's gonna sound in MSG. If you don't think so, you've never been to MSG, obviously.

How's the sound in the basketball gym where they hold concerts where you're from, Erkel?

Brooklynvegan, are YOU the guy who looks like DJ Jazzy Jeff?

Was this the set break? lol

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:13 PM

yeah, sound was the best i've ever heard T5.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:13 PM

an upper body that could only be of british provenance!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:14 PM

Best photos I've seen on BV in a long time.

Posted by natasha | March 29, 2011 12:14 PM

According to a guy that claimed to have worked for Dfa, Monday was the rehearsal for MSG, thats why it was 3 hours long. The other nights he said are only going to be 2 hours.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:14 PM

Wow, look at that fat piece of shit.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:14 PM

Raggie Watts was the guest? so no marquee headliner names? that sucks. The show was OK. tonight will be better.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:15 PM

why wasn't francisco there?!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:15 PM

BV, that jammu second set was mostly 45:33.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:16 PM

The sound is almost always great at Terminal 5 if it's a primarily electronic band. The problem is when someone to fill that cave with an acoustic guitar or a banjo, or too much distortion. LCD sounded amazing. Every lyric was clearly discernible and it was louuuuud.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:16 PM

I didn't see one good dancer last night, and I walked all over. White people can't dance or sing judging Murphys performance last night.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:16 PM

"T5 sound is 1000000000% better than it's gonna sound in MSG. If you don't think so, you've never been to MSG, obviously."

i'm going to msg for the special guests and the surprises that will ensue. after they breakup i can listen to recordings of t5 shows. sorry you didn't get a ticket for 4/2

Posted by bobby the rookie | March 29, 2011 12:19 PM

LCD sounds great no matter where they play. Ive seen them play in basketball arenas where most bands sound like shit no matter how good they are and LCD sound 10 times better than anyone else who plays there.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:19 PM

Fatty is really raking in the dough with this cash-grab. He'll be able to gorge himself on corndogs for the rest of his life.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:20 PM

Can anyone tell me how crazy the line was to get in? Like, what time did you get in the line and how long was it? Trying to judge what time I should get there for Thursday's show. Thanks!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:20 PM

You think they'll change up the setlist for these show?

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:20 PM

last shows my arse. They'll be back in 2012, cause they 'missed their fans'....

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:21 PM

There was no line. It was really easy to get into.

There was a girl in front of me who kept grinding her butt into my penis while dancing. I imagine she was on drugs. It was awesome.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:23 PM

You'll be okay pretty much any time. The line isn't too bad. I'd aim for 730, unless you want to take advantage of $3 beers. Just be aware that the show is very punctual due to the 3-hour set. LCD will be playing by 915, guaranteed. Liquid Liquid started right at 8.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:23 PM

I like LCD Soundsystem, but i will be very happy when these shows are over and i don't have to see another LCDSS post on BV... at least until the reunion.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:24 PM

did they have LCD lunchboxes too? did 13/14ths of the audience leave 3/7ths of the way through the set?

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:24 PM

kinda hope not 12:20! though i'd like them to add "NAS" at the final show

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:24 PM

^ I hope.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:25 PM

I hope they play the pretentious Yeah today.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:25 PM

LCD was perfect & sounded amazing.

However, I can't believe how many douchebags were scattered though the overall tame crowd. Before Liquid Liquid some pigs behind us started eating chili dogs and the smell wagged through the while crowd. During LCD one Philipino guy was rolling on E and slammed his body into everyone around him and yelled at people to crowdsurf him better. A tiny Asian girl also was rolling and pushed her way up through the entire crowd like a depraved munchkin. These 2 English guys in black leather jackets kept knocking into people and trying to pick fights and demanding to dance with/hit on complete strangers.

Al of this would be forgivable if the crowd danced more. Listen - why would you push your way to the center front if you're going to be pissed that people are dancing around you? That's what the dancefloor is fucking for.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:28 PM

well, at least he won't have to worry about scalpers anymore.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:29 PM

I'm glad people walked out early. That's the cool thing about LCD. All their songs sound the same, you can see what you want, and leave when you want. It makes no difference with this band. I heard people bitching on their way out, but they're entitled to their bad taste. Show was a hipster extravaganza!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:29 PM

Holy shit those shirts are lame.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:29 PM

@1216, you sound like a pretty awesome person, walking around the floor judging people's dancing to yourself, definitely a cool guy.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:31 PM

"Holy shit those shirts are lame."

The "normal" ones are good, but the "last shows" ones are indeed lame. They just look cheap.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:33 PM

They better fucking play Watch The Tapes at MSG. Other than the 2nd instrumental set, setlist doesn't look that much different from the last run of T5 shows, no?

And enough with Reggie Watts, New York. Seriously.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:34 PM

SERENITY NOW!!!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:34 PM

Is 12:28's account accurate? Is this what a "dance party" is like. I know everyone on here gets real excited for a "dance party," but if 12:28's assessment is right then I am glad that I do not attend these "dance parties."

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:35 PM

For the love of Christ did anyone find a black Canon Powershot s95? Just bought the fucker a month ago. Really not looking to buy one again if I don't have to. Show was dope though...

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:35 PM

its not almost over, they are filming for a concert movie which will tour the nation and be released on dvd

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:35 PM

this music seems like it was made for people the have too much sugar in their lives. overstimulation, and ultimately unsatisfying.

@ 12:35 - THIS is a dance party -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnJzF4-aggk

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:38 PM

And seriously, I know most people who are saying this don't know shit about LCD/James Murphy, but they're not coming back. Dude genuinely doesn't want to do this anymore and even 10 years ago said there was no way he wanted to do this in his 40's. He's got a label and plenty of other cash coming in, so he doesn't have to do it either. Don't hold your breath for the triumphant reunion tour. Really.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:40 PM

12:35 - James Murphy found your camera and already hocked it on Craigslist for tix to tonight's show...which he will trade for a better camera. Pretty dope though...

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:40 PM

the set was so good, but the crowd and that venue just ruined it. i know that sounds like an obligatory post, but when you're paying good money to see a band you really like on their last round of shows, and they're special shows at that given then length, you really shouldn't have to be spending the bulk of the night fighting for a good spot to see, and having people punching and elbowing you because you're just trying to move around an already oversold space.

also, way too many drunk underage kids.

Lol at guy bitter he could not get tix to MSG and lol at comparing T5 sound to MSG. They both sound like shit. Like someone said above. MSG will be the show for the experience and the guests/surprises. I have seen LCD at Music Hall/Bowery/Angel Orensantz etc over the years for the sound.

Posted by bobby the rookie | March 29, 2011 12:42 PM

in general was there was a fair amount of moving around between the "sets"?

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:42 PM

my review of all LCD shows .... "shit"

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:46 PM

Bad. All of it. Lame. Shitheads who know no better, especially about dance music, worship this band. No one else.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:48 PM

@ 12:41 - this is 12:11 here. I have no desire to go to MSG to see these poofs, or T5, or another other place. I would rather get gonorrhea than have to endure one of these shows. So, nice try asswipe, but wrong again.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:48 PM

That one pathetic guy insisting nobody left the show last night is probably James Murphy!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:51 PM

12:42: The idea that you are arguing on the internet, and calling others "poofs' is so ironic it's painful.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:52 PM

I think that James Murphy is happy so long as no one gets between him and the sandwich cart.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:53 PM

Don't listen to the people talking about LCD dance parties. The closest you will get to a dance party is people jumping up and down pushing each other.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:53 PM

I love how people with small minds really don't see the logical flaws in their self righteous comments. he who has ears, let him hear.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:56 PM

12:48 When Sunday comes around and I am enjoying fond memories of a great show you will be at home itching your gonorrhea..enjoy that!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:56 PM

found a chickpea that resembled James Murphy...not trading it, jussayin'

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:56 PM

Lame fucking crowds are just one more reason why the MSG show obviously trumps the T5 shows. I don't know what it is about that place (is it because it's on the west side?) that attracts the douchiest motherfuckers on the planet, but it seems like they're there regardless of the bill.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:58 PM

I noticed the majority of the audience were fat middle aged dudes. Is there some strange connection between fat dudes and James Murphy? Do they sing about food?

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 12:58 PM

@12:41/12:11.Yet you felt the need to comment on a thread about a show you never even went to about a band you feel are poofs. Not to mention you did it to make a ridiculous comparison about 2 horrible sounding venues. As if there is really a difference between sounding like crap and sounding like shit.

Yeah some life you got buddy but thanks for the clarification.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:00 PM

@12:11...brook veg wasn't the jazzy jeff bro. Bro Veg was the chick crowdsurfing then trying to makeout with the security.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:00 PM

How was Liquid Liquid?

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:00 PM

Liquid Liquid were amazing!!! I didn't see one person walk out on them!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:02 PM

>I noticed the majority of the audience were

>connection between fat dudes and James Murphy?

Really? You honestly need to think about the connection between a band whose frontman is a fat middle aged dude and the fat middle aged dudes who like that band?

Don't hurt yourself.

Here's a taste of Reggie Watts killing it during 45:33 segueing into Sound of Silver

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ag2dm9nD7UE&feature=email&email=comment_received

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:10 PM

I loved the show! But to be honest, Reggie Watts was a let down. He can't sing, and he just got in the way. I'm sure the LCD hipsters thought it was cool to see another fat man with crazy hair on stage, but he added nothing. I would have liked to see someone cooler.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:13 PM

Was anyone trying to sell extra tickets outside?

Posted by Dan | March 29, 2011 1:13 PM

the majority of the audience were fat, middle aged dudes? Over 50% of the audience last night were made up of people in their forties who are male and overweight? that's amazing and honestly, i find it somewhat unbelievable.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:18 PM

Of course Reggie Watts was a letdown. He's the hipster Michael Winslow - you know, the funny voices guy from Police Academy. What business does he have being on stage at all during that show? Stupid.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:18 PM

Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah. Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah, Chili Dogs.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:19 PM

I repeat: There were 130 tickets at the door.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:22 PM

guys, there were tickets at the door. my buddy got his at 7:30; apparently they released 150 more when the doors opened.

also, yes, they were people selling out front. guy next to me got in for $15 (shocker, i know).

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:23 PM

Lots of high schoolers there. You had your old dudes but lots and lots of kids. Also, HUGE sausage party.

Too many dicks on the dancefloor.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:29 PM

Reggie Watts??? I thought that was the dude from Cypress Hill! No wonder he sucked!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:29 PM

I agree 1:24. Way too many dudes and really...no pretty girls on the dancefloor (bummer). Where were they all hiding? In the back?

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:29 PM

I hope this is the last post on this band that I've never listened to.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:31 PM

Why are the girls so ugly at LCD shows? My X kicked in hard and I couldn't find one decent bird.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:31 PM

I went out stage-diving last night and I'm a bit sore. Anyone know who I should call?

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:35 PM

Any band you need drugs to like, isn't worth the money they are charging. You should just spend it on good drugs and hit a free party.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:36 PM

I'm a hot girl and I was there :) --- you fools, Reggie Watts is a badass. Too many smelly hipster boys there. Ew. And... drunk, fat girls with glitter.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:37 PM

1:10 great video - anything more from 45:33? That second set will surely be a highlight tho looks like James uses that time to catch some zzz's.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:39 PM

I agree with the 1 hot girl that was there. The show was disgusting. It was all fat drunk girls with glitter and hipster boys on coke dancing like retards. The aroma smelled of cooked farts and human sweat. eww

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:40 PM

@ 1:00 - I can write about whatever I feel like, wherever I feel, you fucking Nazi. You go live in your room of rules, and I wish you well. But don't apply your morality on me, you fuck. And as for your judging ... well, I think that you know very well what it is to be alone in a dark room wondering why your life is so worthless.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:41 PM

all the BV readers going tonight, I will buy you all one chilli dog a piece, but only if you bring it out to the pit and eat it there. Meet me by the food cart between set 1 and set 2

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:51 PM

was James drunk? he wasn't singing well last night. I expected a better singer, but I haven't seen them before, so maybe the fans don't have high expectations.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 1:51 PM

1:41 Aw SNAP! I agree with you, that guy is a tool.

I usually don't peruse around the comment section on this blog, but if I had to put it on the scale deciphering the cesspool of internet comments, this will rest nicely high above the echelon between Aint it Cool News and YouTube.

Such judgement around here! I mean, let the LCD people have their fun. It'll be gone soon enough. and as for the folks baiting arguments on here, I think you really do show that you have no life. Go out and take a walk in the sun, man. It's nice out!

this is how i feel every single time i'm at a t5 show. i really enjoy lcd and i'll be there on sat, but there is no way in hell i'm dealing with that shit hole for these shows.

This was a rave for white people who can't dance. The band is a poor excuse to do drugs. I think James knows that is what the band has become, and it stings.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:10 PM

I think that 1:55, 1:41, 12:41, 12:11 are all the same dude. totally pathetic.

hey, isn't your mom coming home soon? you're gonna want to take off her panties before the stretch out and she finds out.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:10 PM

I just saw LCD in my HS hallway in between periods. the hall holds 200 people. the sound was better than T5, but same proportion of douchebags. Coincidence?

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:12 PM

^ haha I wrote one of those posts. So it can't be the same dude. I love this blog. No one is honest, and everyone is spreading horse shit.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:12 PM

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:14 PM

ugh when I first saw LCD soundssystem in 2002 I was in my mid 30's and completely out of place as the audience was all very young. Now 9 years later I'm the norm. I swear I didn't tell any of these 40 year old guys how great LCD are.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:17 PM

@ 2:17 -- you mean to tell me you are now in your mid 40s and you are not just an LCD fan but you are also spending your time posting on BV?

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:19 PM

who cares how old anyone is - its music. What should 40 year olds be listening to? Soundgarden?

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:19 PM

40 year olds should be listening to Radiohead! Radiohead is for all ages!!!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:22 PM

40 year olds should be listening to indie rock. lcd is a product specifically maximized for hummus queens

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:22 PM

Mr Dream guys were all singing in the chorus

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:24 PM

Radiohead walks all over LCD soundsystem. There's no comparison in quality. LCD is boring and soft. Radiohead rocks! And they're always inventing new music.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:25 PM

@2:19 spoken like a mid-40s queen.

@12:11 best sound I've ever heard was at MSG [NIN, Fragile tour, 9 May '00], while opener A Perfect Circle's was awful; it all depends who's running the board

@12:23 good times!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:29 PM

Currently, SOIA is for idiots with no sense of surrounding culture...GROW UP and move away from what you thought was cool as a teenager. Hardcore is for kids...deal with it!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:30 PM

The thing about LCD is they try to do more than they are capable of. They think they are of Radiohead caliber, but they're not.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:31 PM

holy cow, you guys are like fish in a barrel -- this is really too easy.

ah, no one listens to SOIA. THAT WAS A TROLL POST, NUMBSKULL.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:32 PM

hardcore is for kids because it is so primordial... lose yourself in something that is both ancient and perennial

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:34 PM

anyone know what song was playing right before lcd took the stage?

Posted by guggg | March 29, 2011 2:35 PM

anyone else think James would sound cooler if he didn't sing through the Strokes microphone? It's pretty lame.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:37 PM

probably Judy Garland or Bette Midler. Real big with the mid-40s homosexual crowd.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:37 PM

"@12:11 best sound I've ever heard was at MSG [NIN, Fragile tour, 9 May '00], while opener A Perfect Circle's was awful; it all depends who's running the board"

NOT TRUE! Openers at arenas usually don't even use the same PA gear.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:53 PM

"best sound I've ever heard was at MSG [NIN, Fragile tour, 9 May '00]"

This has got to be another troll baiting post as well.
If this was serious

-you have not been to too many shows
-you are completely deaf
-you should never be allowed to comment again on sound at any venue

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 2:54 PM

So, James heads out to the house of Anon Poster #2947 to confront him on some of the things that were written on BV, but on the way he passes a KFC. So he stops there for a quick bucket. OK, back on the road and .... oh, Krispy Kremes, I love Krisp.nom nom nom nom. ..... OK, REALLY now I need to confront this, oh .... Burger King!

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 3:17 PM

A meme ( /ˈmiːm/[1]) is a unit of social information.[2] It is a relatively newly coined term and identifies ideas or beliefs that are transmitted from one person or group of people to another. The concept comes from an analogy: as genes transmit biological information, memes can be said to transmit idea and belief information.
A meme acts as a unit for carrying cultural ideas, symbols, or practices, which can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals, or other imitable phenomena. Supporters of the concept regard memes as cultural analogues to genes, in that they self-replicate, mutate, and respond to selective pressures.[3]

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 3:20 PM

Or:

A meme ( /ˈmiːm/[1]) is f**king ANNOYING

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 3:21 PM

^ Not nearly as annoying as a lot of the cliched trendy comments here.

I agree, 3:17.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 3:29 PM

Seriously, please tell me there is not going to be the 'review' of every single show? It's dance music, cheesy dance music. Not much changes.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 3:32 PM

I prefer banana pancakes over chili dogs.

Posted by Jack Johnson | March 29, 2011 3:35 PM

The show was much longer than I was expecting...the second set could be cut, it was getting to the point to get bored...but I think they are doing that to manage handling 4 shows in a row...
at least the third set was a killer...I won't forget that for a long time...

12:28 that sounds awful, maybe that's why these are their "last" shows, at least in this formation.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 4:21 PM

The guy standing in front of me was leaning over a railing and showed no emotion at all. He didn't move the entire concert. He just stayed leaned over the railing. He didn't clap, sneeze, or release a hummus fart. I was standing in the hummus only section dancing and unleashing a few hummus farts here and there.

Posted by Anonymous | March 29, 2011 4:24 PM

MSG is going to be epic and yes the sound won't sound like a 3k cap venue but it will be epic.

T5 is terrible for so many reasons but that overhang...that fucking overhang...someone needs to die for that overhang.

There are so many hilarious things to say about this tweet, especially since he's a music critic.

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 11:20 AM

Seriously, why are people leaving after the first set? Are you people retarted or something?

I can see if you were dragged there and were'nt "feeling it", but the tickets were fairly expensive and you had to be either the asshole who bought the ticket or the friend of the asshole who bought the ticket to ge in (for the most part).

Also, there are only 3 or 4 different types of LCD songs. You mean to tell me that you bored that quiclky of the material knowing that before you went in. THEN WHY ARE YOU THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE?

What I thought the most fucked up thing about everybody leaving was that everybody in the crowd was really into "All of My Friends". The whole place was jumping up and down and singing along, and not 5 minutes later 1000 people leave. What is wrong with you people?

Are you posers? (<----whoa, I havnt cracked out that word in well over a decade)

People are walking out after the 1st set because this band does not live up to the hype they created.

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 11:31 AM

^^ true true. They are great at marketing schemes, but weak live. That said, I love their records. I wish they were better live.

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 11:33 AM

Frank Black and the rest of the fat aging 40's Pixies band members. These guys rule, end of story. Whatever hipster crap you're listening to, all of them were influenced by bands now in thier mid life.
So suck it!

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 11:47 AM

James Murphy isn't fat! He's big boned and sexy. Double chins are hot!

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 11:54 AM

Frank Black was fat when he was in his 20s - what does that have to do with anything?

LCD is bad music. Pixies is great music.

Heck, I would take Taylor Swift over LCD Shitsystmeh

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 11:58 AM

whats the weird obsession with Murphy's weight ya skinny jeaned, hipster freak

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 12:01 PM

The problem is that "All My Friends" is probably one of the best songs they have, and in my opinion there best live track. They should be holding that off until later in the set.

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 1:18 PM

They should wave a plate of donuts in front to that fat singer before they go on. That way the world will be spared another 200+ posts about how the set list was the same, no it wasn't, everyone left, no they didn't ....

buncha whiny-ass baby twats

How was the second night?

Posted by GW | March 30, 2011 1:25 PM

I went to the show, and I loved it! But the truth is, a large amount of people walked out after the 1st set. That is true. I'm not hating, but it says something about their fans. The above comment sounds right. They are playing their best songs in the 1st set, and people are walking out.

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 1:27 PM

Sweet - will get a better spot for the later sets tonight.

Will be nice to see them up close again before section 300 hell on saturday.

Fair Weather LCD fans. Go jump on the The Weeknd bandwagon

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 1:34 PM

fuck with erikas325@yahoo.com. She's trying to sell her tickets for $600. Lets all lead her on.

"sounds like when people leave a baseball game in the 7th inning when the score is 7-6. i have a name for people like that: IDIOTS"

I have never once seen someone do that in the 7th inning with that type of score

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 1:43 PM

"I have never once seen someone do that in the 7th inning with that type of score"

you don't go to a lot of baseball games then. happens all the time

Posted by Anonymous | March 30, 2011 1:43 PM

By chance do you have a high res photo of the mirrorball. I was at this show and would LOVE to have a good copy of that.
