NY Dolls

New York Dolls have added another show at Bowery Ballroom on March 17th, the day after the band plays the previously announced show at the venue and two days after the band appears at Best Buy in Union Square to sign copies of their forthcoming LP Dancing Backward In High Heels. Tickets for the 3/16 show are still available, and tickets for the 3/17 date go on sale at noon today (3/2). Make Out opens both shows.

After the NYC dates and a stint overseas, New York Dolls will head out on a completely different tour, as support for (gulp) Motley Crue & Poison. The tour is scheduled to hit Nassau Coliseum on July 20th. The teacher is now the student, I guess.

remember when the clash reunited and opened for rancid?

Motley Crue's first two albums are great. After that, it was a steep downhill.

And I will admit it, I like Poison's first two albums. Don't take them seriously. Love CC's over the top solos. I wouldn't pay to see them live (especially nowadays), but those first albums are guilty pleasures.

it's a shame that the NY Dolls are the openers, but maybe some of the people who go see these bands will get there early enough to see the real deal and become fans?! Kudos to whoever got them on the bill instead of another lame hair-metal band i guess.

And yes, the first two Crue cd's rule.

No fan of M-Crue or Poison, but it is kinda refreshing to see this being covered here as opposed to the alternative.

Laugh and be snarky all you want....these guys have made lifelong careers rocking out! They've lived the lives you can only dream of, while you work for peanuts in a job you can barely tolerate!
