"Both Helmet and QOTSA are performing classic albums in full tonight in NYC."

Phock. QOTSA are a can't-miss, but considering the fact that they're playing at the execrable Terminal 5, Helmet will probably be a hell of a lot more fun.

Why don't we take the Pussy Fight on the road to T5 tonight? Those bouncers there aren't that big, we could all jump them at once. Pussy Pile On The Bouncers!! Attica! Attica! Attica!

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2011 3:50 PM

Talk about getting carried away with a shitty joke (wow, that sounds familiar among BV losers everywhere!).

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2011 4:02 PM

4:02 - what's shitty? you want some, son?

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2011 4:07 PM

@ 4:02 - I agree. I have seen some pretty memorable shows at T5. I really don't get all the hate.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2011 4:09 PM

4:09: I actually meant the whole Pussy Fight/Brooklyn Bowl/I'm-A-Douche-Who-Else-Is-Along-With-Me comments made the past few days.

However, I do agree that T5 is not THAT bad. It is the venue that is cool to hate, if you get my drift. The Opeth show there last year was great. It gets 3/5 for me.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2011 4:18 PM

Yeah everyone who registers the hate for T5 is just doing it for cool points. Oh wait it's just one guy. That's right I forgot.
Flat out, it's a terrible venue. For people who are true live music freaks you deal with it if it's a show you cannot live without seeing.
The frat boys/clueless kids/bridge and tunnel bozos that make up most of it's audience and comment here should not have anything they say about this place taken seriously.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2011 4:28 PM

@ 4:28 - point of order ... Brooklyn is "bridge & tunnel", asswipe. So Brooklyn Vegan is a bridge & tunnel blog.

Why don't you go back to Iowa where the world is a bit easier to figure out.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2011 4:35 PM

4:18 likes Opeth (insert your own joke here)

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2011 4:35 PM

^ While it is far from perfect (and of course some people are going to hate it for good reason), I've seemed to sense a bandwagon approach to the T5 hate.

I think it's ok. But also, depending on the type of show also, it has the possibility to suck.

Just food for thought.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2011 4:35 PM

I've seen some damn good shows at T5. I've also seen some pretty shitty shows elsewhere. Not all shows at T5 suck because of T5, and not all shows elsewhere are good because they are not T5. But I believe that this fact is lost on most of the "crowd" because they are too scared of not fitting in. Clearly, punk rock is dead within them, if it was ever alive to begin with.

I go to these clubs for the bands. The clubs all smell like old beer, and assholes go to every show. Get over it, or more back to the midwest.

"The frat boys/clueless kids/bridge and tunnel bozos that make up most of it's audience and comment here should not have anything they say about this place taken seriously."

Thank you 4:41 for illustrating this point quite convincingly

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2011 4:48 PM

@ 4:48
I don't know, I think what 4:41 is saying is the same in spirit as the other posts before it. I think that you are looking for a fight, though. I personally would rather talk with a bridge + tunnel person than someone looking for a fight any day.

Friday, or Shabbas, is the traditional time of the week when hummus is made for the family. a big bowl is made and shared during Shabbas dinner, and the remainder is left for noshing during the week. While it should be refrigerated, in our house it never lasted that long. Poppa was one to eat his share of hummus, and us kids followed closely behind him. Perhaps you could try this at your home home this week. Hummus makes people smile.

Posted by Anonymous | March 25, 2011 5:25 PM

You mean fake hummus that might as well be black bean dip.

Posted by Anonymous | March 26, 2011 2:21 AM

Never mind the banter.

T5 sucks.

Case closed.
