Mumford and Sons pretty high on the Coachella stage, baby!

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 10:05 AM

Worst Coachella yet....hopefully next year, they'll get

1) Friday-David Bowie
2) Saturday-Radiohead
3) Sunday-Daft Punk

Streaming anywhere?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 10:26 AM

wow....bss, bright eyes, animal collective, and arcade fire all on the main stage.

no outdoor theater love?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 10:30 AM

4) Monday - R.D. Sahl

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 10:30 AM

When do they announce the Brochella lineup?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 10:38 AM

will there be a Jamba Juice stand?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 10:40 AM

10:38am. Just look at the headliners for this year and you know you're going to BROCHELLA....kings of leon, arcade fire, and kanye west.

No Thank You

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 10:41 AM

Brochella is so awesome. I've bought my supersized box of Magnums.

"Beware the desert A-Rabs."

Good man.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 11:04 AM

"The Aquabats were booked for Coachella?"

And they're playing that later time slot?? After Cut Copy no less. Good for them

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 11:11 AM

strokes set time is only 1 hour lol. this is why bonnaroo is so much better. every band plays a full set pretty much.. especially headliners. i would be pissed if i spent money for this to see such short sets from the headliners.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 11:12 AM

what time does LCD go on?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 11:19 AM

55 minute sets are lame.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 11:25 AM

@10:05 mumford and sons have sold over 1 million records in teh US alone vs 200K for Animal Collective. Frankly I'm surprised they aren't above Animal Collective on the state as they are clearly more popular. I guess booking agents at coachella have taste?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 11:26 AM

Only a fool would want to see The Strokes.

Only an a*shole would want to see them play longer than a hour!

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 11:28 AM

Why is someone surprised that The Strokes set is 1 hr? Should they factor in the prep time for the band to get their 'stage look' just perfect? I love the strokes but an hour of them is all i can take.

Posted by The Real Real Yup. PERIOD | April 13, 2011 11:49 AM

the strokes set at msg was barely over an hour, they're shows are short dude

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 11:56 AM

Raphael Saadiq > The Arcade Fire

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 12:02 PM

I cant wait for BV to have a 12 day posting on Coachella.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 1:47 PM

So, no streaming then?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 2:23 PM

2:23pm

They're streaming live on Coachella Youtube page (sorry forgot the exact link....probably www.youtube.com/coachella) all weekend!

Posted by Tiki | April 13, 2011 2:39 PM

Mmmm.... I don't think I ever been to Strokes show that was over 45 minutes. And encores are kinda new thing for them.

Hour long sets seem sufficient at Coachella especially with the dry 100+ temperature. Main stage is a scorcher during the day.

Bonnaroo, other hand runs all night(until 4 am) so it has more room for jamming. Plus, they encourage other artists to join sets of the artist performing.

2:53 admits to seeing multiple Strokes shows. (2:53 is a douche.)

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 2:59 PM

Okay, there is ONE good thing about Coachella this year. The end time is 1am now...always been midnight in the past.

The Chems at 11:40p on a hot desert night; you're just a hater if you can't dig that.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 3:25 PM

@2:59 Eat a bag of dicks

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 3:44 PM

If i did that, what would you Strokes fans do for nourishment?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 3:49 PM

@ 325pm. You've obviously never been to Coachella.

2009, The Cure went on till 1230am.....

and bands do play till 3am if you're on the camping ground.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 5:38 PM

Thanks 3:44....

2:59 Why so much hate! I am music fan and an old. I have seen heaps of bands multiple times like the Cure in the late 80's, 90's and 00's.

I know it is hard to believe but some people do things in earnest because they find joy from them and not so they look and sound cooler to other people.

PS: As an old, let me tell you a little secret: people who use the word d**che are always d**ches! (It is one of the most tired insults and lacks any sense of creativity. Yep pretty mainstream).

Oh yeah, And I like the Strokes. They will always be early 00's New York East Village to me.

Arcade Fire / Kanye West makes it hands down the best Coachella since that one with Radiohead / Pixies / Kraftwerk

Posted by Anonymous | April 15, 2011 2:07 AM

"Arcade Fire / Kanye West makes it hands down the best Coachella since that one with Radiohead / Pixies / Kraftwerk"
