Darwin Deez at a BV party in Austin (more by Tim Griffin)
Darwin Deez

Darwin Deez is now down under for almost three weeks of shows in Australia/New Zealand, and will will then head to Europe. In July he'll play a few select U.S. dates that include NYC at Bowery Ballroom on July 15th. Tickets for that show go on sale at noon today (4/29).

Last time Darwin played Bowery Ballroom, he sold out it out. Last time Darwin played NYC, it was an NYU show which wasn't too long after his visit to Austin for SXSW.

this band has zero sack. and i know it's fashionable to look like dorks but this will be one of those bands where we look back in 15 years and cringe, saying "geez, we weren't quite over 00s fashion/sound yet"

I wonder who the bald middle-age pervert at the controls behind this is?

I've never read anything favorable about this band. Who the fuck goes to see this?

Darwin Deez may not have the sound that tickles my fancy, but I would bet good money that the fellow in the mustache can cook up a decent hummus plate.

oh, so all of you are pissed because deez consistently sells out nyc's best venues while all of you are busy sucking todd p's dick in a grungy, under-attended basement in williamsburg? i get it.
