Our city is broke and we have awful free shows.

And can we please stop using our tax dollars to let Patti Smith stink up the joint? Can she get some laser hair removal on her upper lip at least?

@11:09 I cant imagine your tax income from being unemployed would pay for very much of a show at all.

Of all the shitty people in this world - and with our stages full of musical posers and no-talents - what would compel you to target Patti Smith, let alone attack the bit of hair on her upper lip?

I can't decide if you're an ignorant asshole or a rabid douche bag that, somehow, sees only perfection when looking in the mirror ... BUT THEN I REMEMBERED ...

... while many of our personal freedoms have been abridged by our no-good politicians, we DO STILL HAVE THE RIGHT to hold multiple opinions regarding "folks" like you and, so relieved, I've made a decision; I'm going with both. You are an ignorant asshole AND a self-important, delusional foamy-mouthed
douche bag.

You aren't fit to judge anyone, let alone a magnificent artist like Ms. Smith.

Your Cool Pal,

Saw Patti Smith on New Years Eve - a most amazing show! A real artist who for decades has produced an amazing body of recorded and written work, has stood up for things she believed in, and can rock and inspire like no one else. The cheap shots at her in the comments are, pathetically, just that: cheap.

cheers chris, well stated. the fact that people like douche-bag guy have any interest in music is the reason so many no-talent bands are able to thrive today.
