Kyuss Lives

3/4 of Kyuss (no Josh Homme) announced the creation of Kyuss Lives! last year. Original Kyuss members Brant Bjork, John Garcia, and Nick Oliveri, along with guitarist Bruno Fevery, have live dates scheduled this year in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South America and now North America too. So far it's just two U.S. shows, but more will be announced. One of those is at The Fox Theater in Pomona, CA on October 8th, and the other is at NYC's Terminal 5 on September 23rd (the same venue Queens of the Stone Age recently played). Both Kyuss shows are with The Sword, and tickets for both go on sale this week (Terminal 5 goes on sale Friday).

In semi-related news, stoner-blueshounds Clutch will hit the road with Corrosion of Conformity (Animosity lineup) to play a string of dates together that will include Brooklyn Bowl on 7/20 (tickets go on sale Friday). The following day, Clutch play a solo show aboard the Temptress on 7/21 (a Rocks Off Concert Cruise). Tickets for that show are not yet listed.

as a life-long kyuss fan i'm totally outraged by this whole thing. it's a fucking joke. i've seen footage from their european shows and it's totally embarrassing... this is essentially a kyuss cover band. i love oliveri and bjork's other projects but... this is just not cool. not to mention neither of them played on kyuss' last album. this project is a disgrace (and sounds like shit). the guitarist is just some random euro, not even from like, dozer or spiritual beggars or something.

Alright sounds good one less douche at the show ^.

Josh doesn't care as much about this as you do

No Homme, No Go

No Neil Hamburger No Care

This is like having "Hummus Lives!" as an appetizer that is made with only chickpeas, tahini, and garlic. There is no olive oil involved. Now tell me, who on Allah's green earth would want to eat something like that? Hummus, like Kyuss, is such a delicate entity that removing one ingredient will ruin the entire dish.

These rock-n-roll concert promoters should be ashamed of themselves.

even nick the junkie seems ashamed of his involvement in this.

no tickie, no shirtie

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 11:30 PM

ummm I think we are missing the most important parts of this

1. CLUTCH FUCKING BOAT SHOW? JESUS CHRIST FUCK YES

2. TERMINAL 5 SUCKS

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 1:53 AM

3. There is prime opportunity for a beatdown at the bowl. Yes, Tom O))), I'm a new world samurai...

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 8:20 AM

i saw kyuss lives at roadburn and it was awesome...and clutch and coc at brooklyn bowl and then clutch on the boat will be a lot of fucking fun...

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 9:16 AM

"No Neil Hamburger No Care"

Nothing more needs to be said.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 9:56 AM

Clutch and COC at Brooklyn Bowl? IT'S. ON. Hipsters better scatter.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 11:58 AM

Jesus Christ...Terminal 5? I get it, they make more money their, etc. but holy hell. If the bands playing at T5 actually went to see a band their they'd say "F this!" and never return. I hope that place shuts down.

To all the homo's who are "outraged", miffed & mystified by the whole affair...who gives a fuck? Don't like it? Don't go. Everybody and their fucking opinions. Somebody hurry up and press the little red button already.

Posted by Sasquashua75 | April 26, 2011 12:33 PM

Im pretty sure this will suck just as bad as Kyuss did, cause guess what, they sucked! Hippie Musick

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 2:58 PM

will everyone man up and just boycott terminal 5 already. it is simple .

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 3:50 PM

no Homme no care

Posted by Anonymous | April 27, 2011 4:07 PM

Please Joshua Homme, save your friends man!! They need it and we need it. It could be awesome, change the lineup to scott Reeder on Bass and Alfredo Hernandez on drums. Oh what I`d give to see that. This lineup has no energy. It`s cool to see John Martinez though, much respect for that guy.
