wow, so a show originally scheduled for a friday is now on a tuesday. lame.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 7:41 PM

and?

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 7:46 PM

Awwww, widdle 7:41 can't handle dwinks on a Tuesday because his widdle internship supervisor will notice he's hungover. Awwwwww

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 7:51 PM

Wow, 7:51. It must be great having a trustfund and living in Williamsburg living off your parents. Now I know YOU can go to any show you want anywhere and not have to worry about anything, but remember, there are real people working real jobs out there who (more often than not) cannot afford to go see bands on weeknights because they have to get up at 6am and go make money.

But not to put a damper on your life. I'm glad you can sleep until noon everyday.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 8:43 PM

Nope, I gotta work like everyone else. I just don't have the constitution of a fucking pussy

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 8:47 PM

the employed vs. the unemployed

GO!

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 9:15 PM

I go plenty of weekday shows and easily make it work by 9 am the morning after. 7:41 sounds like a boring old guy.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 9:34 PM

I sleep until noon everyday.

But only because I work nights.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 9:40 PM

Not cool. I understand a show can happen on any given day of the week, but if I bought tickets for a Friday/Saturday show and had it moved to a weekday I would be disappointed. The widdle comments seem lame. Man up. Don't talk shit with an anonymous tag.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 10:06 PM

Most jobs don't start as late as 9am. How do you not realize what you are typing? I am a teacher who arrives at school at 7am. It's tough to do a weekday show. This might not be the forum to bring up this issue, but it is a deciding factor on which shows I attend.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 10:08 PM

Dude, just give your class a coloring assignment and catch some ZZZZZZZs.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 10:20 PM

It kinda sucks, but suck it up, 7:41. Rock while you still can, sucker.

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 10:59 PM

My period is on a Wednesday next month

Posted by Anonymous | April 25, 2011 11:18 PM

So psyched especially seeing as the 2nd night at Webster is my Birthday! there are NEVER any shows I want to see on my birthday and I already have a ticket to one! Thanks Mogwai!

You only need 2 hours of sleep to function.

You only need 2 hours of sleep to function.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 4:10 AM

Listen... All you need is 3 hours sleep and some phyto-nutrients to get through the day. So, to translate- eat hummus for breakfast and you will be alright.

doors at 6:30 and not 8? -- why?

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 8:16 AM

"doors at 6:30 and not 8? -- why?"

Bowery Presents heard that 7:41 needed to get to work so they made the show a little earlier for him.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 8:18 AM

haha, spot on 8:18.

and 7:40, i can relate...id just never say it out loud.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 8:38 AM

12:28 is happy so everyone just STFU

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 8:41 AM

ahh thanks 8:18, i'll make sure before i spend 60+ dollars on tickets to clear it with 7:41 first for the rescheduled date and time and that it does not overlap with my own time at work myself.

how inconsiderate of me.

but really, i'll assume errors aren't with them then.

and if chavez are playing one of these dates or both? i wouldn't mind.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 9:04 AM

I leave for work at 630 am and still go to shows any day of the week if I like a band enough. Sure I rather a show start and end earlier but if I like the band in the end it doesn't matter. I can make up for the lack of sleep on the weekend!

mogwai fans are the best...

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 9:26 AM

seriously... stay in the suburbs, grandpa.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 9:36 AM

this is what happens when you feed mogwai after midnight

Whether you work or don't work, or whether or not your body can handle being up extended hours or extended drinking, IT'S ALL RELATIVE.

But the people here slinging shit back and forth do have one thing in common. The lack of a life.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 9:55 AM

^or maybe you do for responding?

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 10:03 AM

as someone who goes to at least 3 shows a week, here's some advice. if you have to wake up early the next morning (like i do at 6am), just don't drink like a raging alcoholic. i love beer but i love functioning as a normal human being the next day too. as long as you get 4 hours of sleep and drink a couple cups of coffee and rest up the next night, you'll be fine.

then again i'm still relatively young so it could be an age thing.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 10:04 AM

as someone who does crystal meth every night, i don't know what you all are talking about. just catch up on sleep over the weekend for the entire weekend.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 10:21 AM

doors at 6:30 and not 8? -- why?

Because the show starts at 8:30pm

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 10:30 AM

You're right 10:03, I do have a life.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 10:36 AM

For those of you sad about not getting to see Mogwai this month, come to Glasslands tonight.

Wires Under Tension (mems of Slow Six)
Ghastly City Sleep (ex. City of Caterpillar, Pg 99)
Mussels
Ball of Flame Shoot Fire

Ghastly City Sleep will be playing with ex City of Caterpillar/current Darkest Hour drummer Ryan Parrish. This show is gonna be loud and intense.

The Webster Hall dates were not "rescheduled". The band was going to play in NYC regardless on those dates. Instead of 3-4 NYC shows this year, we only get 2. I already got my refund and will be seeing them at ATP.

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 3:12 PM

3:12, what are you talking about? How are they not 'rescheduled'? Their movement to another slot on my calendar looks a lot like 'rescheduled' to me

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 3:21 PM

Mogwai was special

Posted by Anonymous | April 26, 2011 3:34 PM

I think 3:12 is speculating that these september Webster shows would have been booked regardless, so in reality the shows last week were really just cancelled, not postponed.

You could still go to the Webster show and see some other band during the ATP performance though. That is, if another noteworthy band is playing the same slot on a differnt stage.
